117th Independence Day Celebration o La Paz National High School

One of the most significant dates in the Philippine history is independence day, it makes the nations
independence from the Spanish rule on June 12,1898.It came after a long struggle. Filipinos
celebrated annually on June 12.
The La Paz National High School celebrates this day within great zeal every year. Everyone is
eager to take part in the Independence Day Celebration last June 11,2015 at 8 in the morning. The
Head Teacher, faculty and staff and the students were gathered in the school ground to witness the
short program prepared by the A.P Department headed by Mr. Rommel C. Santos head teacher of
A.P Department and the SSG Officers through the active leadership of Rodellen Estabillo, SSG
President.
The program started with doxology by the 10-Purity students and followed by the singing of national
anthem which conducted by Mrs. Leebiel B. Lumibao, MAPEH teacher. Talked was delivered by the
A.P teachers. Mrs. Belinda M. Guinto discussed the importance of the flag of the republic of the
Philippines and of what it symbolizes, she also gave trivia about the history of the making of the
Philippine flag. Students were actively participated during the discussion that make them updated in
our history.Mrs. Jamelle Lyn Novesteras gave a message about the significance of celebrating
Independence Day. Mr.Rommel Santos and Mr. Erniezon Dela Cruz reminisce the importance of
history and our duties toward the country , students also showed their talents being nationalists
through singing and dancing of Original Pilipino Music.
Thus, we celebrate Independence Day in our school with pride and love for our country, we must
take an oath to remain loyal and patriot to our beloved motherland from any harm and humiliation.
