Interview with Chris Stoll and Denise Peck, Regional Directors for Biogen (Denver,
CO-07/07/16)
Four things to consider:

Do I understand the job?

Can I do the job?
Will I do the job?
Will I pose a risk to Chriss continued employment?

Plans for first three months following an accepted offer to join Biogen:

First 30: Getting to know you

-Understanding expectations from Chris and from Biogen
-Build knowledge base of MS line and begin reacquainting with neuro offices
-Introduce to and begin learning from Biogen counterparts
-Begin establishing appointments and meetings with target offices and
accounts, as well as MS societies and organizations that support our products
and resources
-Ask more questions and talk less while the providers and staff talk more

Days 31-60: Establishing a precedent

-Begin making personal impact on the territory following training
-Work closely with Matt Roberts to efficiently and properly cover territory
-Meet with the case managers, infusion center staff, and office managers
through appointments that were established in the first 30 days
-At least weekly checks with Chris and Matt on what can be improved or what
more can be done to grow base and become more of an asset to the offices
and infusion centers and the internal staff working with us
-Challenge the status quo or the habitual writing and understand any current
greater usage of Copaxone or Aubagio in key offices

Day 61-90 and beyond: Take ownership of the business with Matt
-Greater analysis of trends and what to start/stop/continue
-Tweak routing and coverage with Matt and what allows us to work smarter
AND harder
-Continue to determine each of the areas we can outwork and outsell our
competition and where our service can go greatly above and beyond the
competitors
-Learn from early mistakes and prevent any controllable situations from
slowing us down or affecting our business

Other Variables:

Training: Goal is to work hard enough to be the top new recruit coming out of
training
Scheduling and Routing: Work early and often with Matt to create the best
possible schedule for this territory and its size
Meeting and getting to know offices/support staf: Making special effort to get
to know the people who keep the wheels turning in each of our business
environments, and what will drive them to further partner with Biogen and me
Continued education: Mentoring from peers, searching out areas to expand
knowledge base, attend conferences that will add breadth to my understanding of
the disease state
In the field: Learn more about the competition and what customers believe they do
better than Biogen
Special meetings/launches/POAs: Establish the competencies which will allow
Chris to trust me to be involved and help lead at our meetings and have a high level
of participation
Conferences or other MS-specific activities or programs: Begin constructing
the calendar of events to support and present at which we will improve the status
and good name of Biogen in Montana & Wyoming
Mentoring w/ Biogen counterpart: Connect with a tenured Biogen employee
who can mentor me on being successful and pushing myself in the company and
what I can do to continuously improve
