Use the supplied template to mark the drill holes on the envisaged place of the wall (see fig.
2a). After drilling the holes ( 6 mm) and inserting the dowels, screw the 3.5 mm round-head
screws into the wall till the distance between wall and screw head is only approx. 2 mm (see
fig. 2b). Hang the NT1 over the screw heads and pull it down until it locks in place safely
(see fig. 2c). If you replace the NT1 look at point 6.

3. Power supply:
The 230 V power connection of the NT1 is exclusively intended for the power supply of the
connected terminals via the NT1. Max. 8 terminals can be powered from the NT1. The
connection to mains (if necessary) is provided by means of the supplied line cord that is
plugged into the device.
The installation is thus completed. Now you can put your ISDN termination units into
operation.

ELCON NT1
Network termination unit for the ISDN basic rate access
Standard version with 2B1Q line code
Operating and mounting instructions
The NT1 is the joining element between the
digital network of the telecommunications
company and the ISDN terminals.
The installation procedure is as follows:
1. Wall mounting:
Mount the NT1 close to the transmission
cable of the telecommunications company. In
addition, you will need a mains socket and a
line cord (approx. 2 m long) if you wish to
power your terminals from the NT1.
CAUTION: Before defining the position of
the drill holes make sure that there are no
other concealed installations (e.g. power,
water, gas).
