This is a Scholarly Source: In this journal written by two women and the aim of their
paper is mostly to answer the questions, Does economic growth reduce poverty? If so, by how
much? How economic inequality affects poverty? Does the responsiveness of poverty to growth
and inequality depend on initial poverty and inequality? How do pro-poor policies influence the
poverty-growth-inequality? In the paper there is the information about poverty and some stats of
the growing rate.
This paper is related to my topic because it is talking about poverty eradication, the
inequality and factors dealing with poverty.

This is an newspaper of New York Time from request. In this text there is the Social
Consequences of poverty in the United States. With the highest incidence of poverty in the 17
developed countries examined and the highest incidence of children in poverty, the United States
Society has serious problems; however there is so many efforts made by the government and
some organization fighting against that poverty, and these efforts are reducing the poverty.
This text is related to my topic because its talking about the social consequences of
poverty in the United States of America: the most powerful country in the world.

Bradley R. Schiller is a professor of economics at the University of Nevada-Reno and
American University. Shiller has written many editorials for the Wall Street Journal, the
Washington Post, the New York Times, and other papers, plus scores of articles in professional
journals. His book The Economics of Poverty and Discrimination 9th ed. (Prentice Hall, 2004)
has been the standard text for those fields for more than 20 years. His principles text, The
Economy Today 10th ed. (McGraw-Hill, 2006), is one of the most widely used economics books
in the world.
This is a newspapers Source, basically a commentary: In this text there is some
interesting data and information about the causes of the poverty in the United States of America.
With a shocking statistic poverty in the country, the government does not help at all poor people
with tax cuts for rich, punitive welfare reforms, a stagnant federal minimum wage, cutbacks in
education and increasingly cutthroat international trade as explanations for both persistent
poverty and the widening gap between rich and poor Americans.

In the text there is also some of the causes of that poverty that is mostly immigrants ( legal and
illegal), working for the minimum wage or less, single teenage moms.
The text is related to my topic because, it has some interesting stats and information of
poverty in the U.S, and the main causes of that poverty.

It is related to my topic because its about some consequences of the poverty in the
United States in the domain of education, how poverty can affect education, and in my topic
there is a place for the consequences of poverty towards education.

This is a scholarly sources from CPCC library ProQuest: In that text the author wrote
about how people fighting poverty in Canada with some organizations like National Anti-Poverty
association founded in 1971, are associations organizing conferences and activities for poor
people. Unfortunately, these organizations are not really helped by the government, and instead
the government is attacking unemployment insurance recipients.
It is related to my topic because its talking about poverty in Canada, how people are
organized to fight against poverty, with many obstacles, and my topic is talking about poverty
around the world; the consequences and how to eradicate it.
