PART ONE

WELCOMING

Today, my friends, while we are saddened by the untimely demise of a good man a friend and a brother in one, we are all gathered
here to celebrate his life. During his birthdays, we join him in thanksgiving for all the blessings he received. Today, as we are soon sending
him HOME to the FATHER, may we gather our thoughts our love and prayers, to celebrate with him as he had accomplished successfully his
mission in life on earth?
This is not easy though, because the sadness and the thought that he will be gone forever are physically hunting. It is a clear
indication that he will no longer be with us but let his memories linger to remind us we, too, will any time join him in Heaven.
My friends, to celebrate the journey of our dear brother to the Kingdom of God, let us rejoice and sing glory to God and to the
mission accomplished by him.

WELCOME TALK
LEADER:

Nelson will be gone forever in our midst. As an individual, he was just that full of compassion and love, hopes
and dreams that soonest and before he left, his mission accomplished. We must count ourselves extremely
lucky if at some time during our lives we happen to befriend a wonderful man like him, whose zest for life and
capacity to live life to the full was inspiring. He gave of his time so willingly to colleagues and friends and
never expected anything in return.
These truly are significant to remember and let us be happy despite his untimely demise, for he is now
heading to Gods place after he has done the best he could leave us to remember.

And to continue say farewell to a good friend - in our very special way, let us join in praying for the eternal
repose of the soul of our dearly departed, Nelson De Leon Mateo. Together, we shall offer this for him and for
the rest of our dearly beloveds who have gone ahead of us.
In opening, we pray Eternal rest grant unto Nelson De Leon Mateo, O Lord, and to all of our departed.

Let your perpetual light shine upon him especially, O Lord Jesus Christ.

Please pray with me our invocation as we offer to God our service today for our loved one Nelson De Leon
Mateo.
INVOCATION

Eternal God,
we praise you for the great company of all those who have finished their course in faith
and now rest from their labor.
We praise you for those dear to us whom we name in our hearts before you.
Especially, we praise you for Nelson De Leon Mateo,
whom you have graciously received into your presence.
To all of these, grant your peace.
Let perpetual light shine upon them;
and help us so to believe where we have not seen,
that your presence may lead us through our years,
and bring us at last with them into the joy of your home
not made with hands but eternal in the heavens;
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

As we are preparing altogether for this memorial service to our departed, may we all together recall in silence
his loving service to others, his unfathomable concern and love for all. It is in this moment that we pray
heartily to God to welcome our departed in heaven and into eternal glory.
In deep silence, as we listen to this song, may we invoke Gods mercy and forgiveness to be upon our dearly
departed? Let us whom left behind find console and relief from grief; let us whom left behind, find peace; let
us whom left behind find unburdened and let us whom left behind, find God with us giving us all the strength
and courage to move on with Gods grace and mercy.

My brothers and sisters, Jesus says: "Come to me, all you who labor and are overburdened and I will give you
rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart, and you will find rest for your
souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light."
The Lord God lives in his holy temple yet abides in our midst. Since in Baptism, Edgar Timoteo Aguilar
became God's temple, and the spirit of God lived in him, with reverence we bless his mortal body.

Lord Jesus, our Redeemer, you willingly gave yourself up to death, so that all people might be saved and pass
from death into a new life.
Listen to our prayers; look with love on your people who mourn and pray for Tim. Lord Jesus, holy and
compassionate, forgives Nelson De Leon Mateo and his sins. By dying you opened the gates of life for those
who believe in you: do not let our brother be parted from you, but by your glorious power give him light, joy,
and peace in heaven, where you live for ever and ever.

May we all sit in a while. The scriptures of God had become our strength these days where we needed most
comfort and support. Yet above all, we certainly know that we are ready to face this chapter of our life with
Gods comforting words.

Our gospel today is according to John.
Jesus said to the crowd: All that the father gives me will come to me and whoever comes to me I shall not
turn away; because I have come from heaven, not to do my own will, but to do the will of Him who sent me.
Now the will of Him who sent me is that I shall have nothing of all that has given to me, and that I should raise
it up on the last day. Yes, it is my Fathers will that whoever sees the son and believes in Him shall have
eternal life, and that I shall raise them up on the last day.
This is the gospel of the Lord.

We pray for our beloved brother, Nelson De Leon Mateo who was baptized into your everlasting life; receive

Give strength to his family and every one of us who mourn. Help us bear the burden of sorrow in a spirit of

We pray for all our deceased members who have died in faith that they may be raised up on the last day.

Creator God, hear our prayers. Welcome our brother Nelson De Leon Mateo into your paradise and
strengthen our hope that we will share with him in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with
you forever and ever.

Many have been said. A lot more were not remembered, but will always be in their memories Now that he
is gone, all we remember are our good memories of him.
Yes, Nelson was not perfect but he tried much to have always been someone to be too good to be true.
Nelson was not perfect but we would not like to remember the bad times if there are after all, Nelson proved
to us, he never had stopped loving and being loved; Nelson had never stopped caring and being cared;
Nelson had never failed to forgive and always has a compassionate heart.
