Credit checking from SMS
Benefit: Easily check the credit balance of your SIMs from an SMS message if needed!
Details: If the local GSM operator does not support credit checking over USSD you can
check it by an SMS message as well. The system is able to automatically receive the text
message and read out the credit balance information.
Tech: The SMS credit checking settings are available in the SIM Groups Prepaid SIM
card settings menu. This feature is available for 2N VoiceBlue Next/MAX (serial number
begins with M201-xxx/M204-xxx) and 2N StarGate (serial number begins with M202xxx) gateways. You need an additional SMS Server license for each connected gateway.

Activation reply reading from SMS

Benefit: Easily read the SMS reply for activation of any service of your SIMs over SMS.
Details: If you need to activate any package/service by an SMS and also read the
incoming SMS reply with the activation result, the system is automatically able to check
the incoming SMS and even look for the desired expected text.
Tech: This feature is available for 2N VoiceBlue Next/MAX (serial number begins with
M201-xxx/M204-xxx) and 2N StarGate (serial number begins with M202-xxx)
gateways. You need an additional SMS Server license for each connected gateway.

Custom texts for SMS Simulation

Benefit: Make your SIMs even better protected against blocking with your own texts in
the local language for the SMS Simulation!
Details: If you run the SMS Simulator (an integral part of the Human Behaviour
Features Pack) you can choose between the usage of semi-randomly generated English
texts or up to 1000 different SMS texts uploaded by yourself.
Tech: Custom SMS texts can be uploaded/downloaded in the SIM Groups Action menu
Download/Upload custom SMS texts for simulation menu. This feature is available for
2N VoiceBlue Next/MAX (serial number begins with M201-xxx/M204-xxx) and 2N
StarGate (serial number begins with M202-xxx) gateways. You need an additional SMS
Server license for each connected gateway.

Free minutes/SMS counters for prepaid SIMs

Benefit: Do you use free minutes or SMS packages for your prepaid SIM cards? Now
you can easily let the system manage and re-activate them automatically whenever
expire to run your business smoother!
Details: Free minutes/SMS package can be activated by USSD, SMS or IVR. After its
exceeding you can define whether to re-activate it, keep using the SIM without any
package or stop using the SIM immediately.
Tech: Free units can be set in the SIM Groups Prepaid SIM card details Free
minutes/SMSs activ. menu.

Recharging statistics for prepaid SIMs

Benefit: Get the global recharging statistics by one click and see how much youve
already recharged per SIM or a group of SIM cards!
Details: Statistics can be easily viewed in the menu SIMs View or SIM Groups View
by clicking on the green arrow.

Relax time before outgoing traffic

Benefit: Make your SIMs less suspicious in the network and let them resting for a while
after logging to the network before they will carry some outgoing traffic.
Details: It is usually very suspicious when you log the SIM card to the network and it
immediately begins to generate outgoing calls. You can make the SIM significantly less
suspicious by adding some fix or random delay in the SIM Group Outg traffic delay
menu.

Global editing of GWs parameters

Benefit: Simply edit the parameters of all your gateways globally by one click!
Details: If you need to change some parameters for more connected gateways at once
(for ex. number of channels for Call, SMS or data simulation), you can do it now globally
from one place. Go to the menu Gateways select GWs by checkbox Edit selected and
change the desired parameter.

Smooth disable of GSM modules

Benefit: Make your SIMs less suspicious in the network when unlogging large volume of
them at once by adding an appropriate delay.
Details: Go to the menu Gateways select GSM modules by checkbox Edit selected
Set delayed disabling and define the fix or random step for the unlogging.

Data simulation
Benefit: Your SIM cards can act as 100% real human with the Data, SMS and Call
simulation at once!
Tech: This feature is available for 2N VoiceBlue Next/MAX (serial number begins with
M201-xxx/M204-xxx) and the latest version of 2N StarGate/2N BlueTower (serial
number begins with M202-xxx) gateways with GSM modules Telit GE910 only.

Blocked SIM card detection based on selected release causes only

Benefit: The blocked SIM card detection system is able to distinguish whether the
unsuccessful call over a specific SIM card has failed because of some usual release
causes (user busy/destination out of order/call rejected) or because of an unusual
release cause received when the SIM card is blocked by the operator. This helps you to
automatically separate only really blocked SIM cards very quickly and efficiently.
Tech: Selected call release causes have to be set separately on each 2N GSM/UMTS
gateway (Gateway configuration GSM basic parameters Causes of failed calls).

IMEI Groups
Benefit: IMEI numbers assigned to your SIM cards can be managed separately for
different groups of SIMs. This allows you to use for ex. different mobile phone producers
identification for different GSM networks.

Dynamic switching between the remote and local SIM

Benefit: The system is able to dynamically switch between the remote SIM cards
(inserted in your 2N SIM Box) and local SIM cards (inserted directly in 2N GSM/UMTS
gateway) based on preconfigured time rules. This feature helps you to effectively use
both types of SIMs and control them from one place only!

SDR (SMS Data Records) Downloader

Benefit: All SMS messaging history from all gateways connected to the SIM Server are
automatically downloaded and merged to one SDR file on the server.

Relax time view per GSM module

Benefit: Direct view of the GSM module/SIMs availability.
Details: If you use longer relax time for resting of your SIM cards (up to 600 seconds),
you can easily watch remaining time in the detail of each GSM module (GSMs View
GSM status info Relax time).

Gateways autolicensing
Benefit: The autolicensing feature provides you higher misuse protection of your
gateways, because any time someone steals them and/or disconnects them from the
server the HW becomes completely useless.
Details: SIM Star Server can automatically manage centralised licensing of connected
gateways by one click and upload prolongation license to each of them on
daily/weekly/monthly or user adjustable basis. Once the prolongation license expires the
gateway stops working.
This functionality needs an extra licensed autolicensing feature for each gateway.

Local and remote SIMs usage at once

Benefit: Easy central management of all GSM modules when a combination of local and
remote SIMs is being used in one gateway at once.
Details: In one gateway you can use some GSM modules for locally inserted SIMs, some
GSM modules for remote SIMs from the 2N SIM Box and still manage all GSM modules
from the 2N SIM Star Server globally.

Phone number detection over SMS

Benefit: You dont need to manually insert the phone numbers of your SIM cards to run
the Call and SMS simulation, the system automatically detects the MSISDN by SMS.
Details: You will fill in the phone number of one SIM card inserted in your 2N SIM Star
Server only and the other SIMs will detect the numbers automatically by messaging
between each other.
You need an additional SMS Server license for each connected gateway.

BTS BCCH view

Benefit: A global view of currently used BTSs across all GSM modules helps you to set
the BTS Lock feature easily and effectively.

Recharge codes export

Benefit: Easy backup of recharge codes/vouchers from your 2N SIM Star Server.

SMS Simulation
Benefit: Your SIM cards can act as 100% real human with the SMS and Call simulation
at once!
Details: SMS and Call simulations can run together and across all SIM cards and all
gateways connected to your 2N SIM Star Server. The SMS messages even contain
semi-random text eg. I will come later, Thanks for calling etc.
Tech: The simulation settings are available in the SIM Groups SMS simulation menu.
This feature is available for 2N VoiceBlue Next/MAX (serial number begins with M201xxx/M204-xxx) and the latest version of 2N StarGate (serial number begins with M202xxx) gateways. You need an additional SMS Server license for each connected gateway.

Dynamic SIM blocking based on low ACD/ASR

Benefit: Easily avoid low ACD (Average Call Duration) and ASR (Average Seizure Ratio)
values on your GSM channels.
Details: The system can automatically detect low values of ACD (in seconds) and ASR
(in percents) on the SIM cards used in the GSM modules. Based on the detection will be
suspicious SIM cards not used anymore.
Tech: Enable the detection in SIM Groups Blocked SIM card detection ASR/ACD
threshold. Also do not forget to set Min calls for ASR/SCD value.

SIM card initial recharging plan

Benefit: New inserted SIM cards can be slowly recharged in batches to avoid GSM
network overloading and SIMs blocking.
Details: Recharging of for ex. several hundreds of SIMs at once can be very suspicious
at the beginning and it can also cause overloading of the operators network. This
feature helps you to spread the initial recharging into a longer time interval.
Tech: The delay between SIM cards assignment for recharging can be set in the menu
SIM Groups Prepaid SIM card recharge settings Distributed rech.

Advanced statistics for SIM Groups

Benefit: Detailed statistics of each SIM Group across all SIM cards are easily available
on one place. You can watch its performance by just one click.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups View Lookup info/SIM statistics/Recharge codes statistics.

Call simulation to SIMs and External numbers at same time
Benefit: Your call simulation will look more real now, because you can mix calling to
your own SIMs and to some external numbers at once.
Details: A combination of SIMs inserted in your SIM Boxes and up to 8 external
recipients for each SIM Group can be used at once.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups settings and in the section Simulation choose the option own
SIM cards/external recipients.

USSD credit check from the 2nd reply message

Benefit: Possibility to check the credit balance over USSD when two answers on one
request received.
Details: Some GSM operators send you on the USSD credit request only a confirmation
reply first (eg. Your request is currently being processed.), and after a few moments
you will get the credit balance in the second USSD reply (eg. Your credit balance is 5
USD.). This feature allows you to ignore the first reply and read the second one.
Tech: Go to the SIM Group Prepaid SIM card settings and in the field Prepaid check
code for the USSD request code enter behind the string following characters without the
quotation marks ;&. Now the system will ignore the first USSD reply.

8 independent activations for SIM cards

Benefit: Up to 8 independent activation steps allow you to prepare your SIM cards
properly for the full production.
Tech: Go to SIM groups xth SIM card activation settings and use activations 1 to 8.

Low number of IMEIs alert raised to 500

Benefit: Avoid situations with not enough IMEIs for IMEI changing available.
Details: If email alert of Free IMEIs enabled (SIM Server User accounts Settings) up
to 500 IMEIs can be set as the low value.
Tech: Go to SIM Server Connections and choose up to 500 in the section Low number
of IMEIs for alerting.

Improved detection of blocked SIM card
Benefit: You can avoid SIM blocking more efficiently and in spite of that the SIM would
really get blocked, the detection of such SIM is more effective.
Details: After a predefined count of consecutive failed calls or SMSs using the same SIM
an adjustable idle time can be set before retry. Such behavior looks more human,
because you will also not keep trying to place a call from your mobile phone when for ex.
GSM network overloaded.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups, choose a SIM group to edit, find section Blocked SIM card
detection and look for the retry settings (Failed calls retries, Short calls retries, Failed
SMSs retries, Retry idle time).

First & next count for prepaid SIMs

Benefit: You will get precise call statistics for prepaid SIM cards.
Details: Some operators are charging the calls different ways, eg. 1s+1s, 60s+1s,
60s+60s, 60s+30s etc (1st counted unit + 2nd and any next counted unit).
Tech: Go to SIM Groups, choose a SIM group to edit, find parameters First count and
Next count in Prepaid SIM card settings. You can set counting steps in the range of 1 to
3600s.

Cell ID in the GSMs View Table

Benefit: You will always have an overview of currently used BTSs across all of your
gateways on one place.
Tech: Go to GSMs, click on Table menu and choose View signal of listed GSMs. In the
right column you will see the the Cell ID with the detail about currently used BTS.

Firmware upgrade restriction

Benefit: You can always manually manage the distribution of firmware files for SIM
Boards and GSM Gateways when upgrading remotely, without any impact on your traffic.
Tech: Go to SIM Server/GW & SB/SC firmware, choose Manual confirmation of firmware
update and click on Apply.

Immediate recharge if low credit is detected
Benefit: If SIM logs in network and has a credit for few minutes, the SIM can be
recharged without unlogging, which allows SIM to reach limits set for one use.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups, choose a SIM Group to edit, find Prepaid SIM card recharge
settings and check Keep logged for r.

Wait before activation

Benefit: Slow down the activation, increase reliability and reduce blockation.
Details: With some operators, if you do activation right after SIM login, there is higher
chance that activation fails.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups, choose a SIM group to edit, find parameter Action wait in SIM
card common settings. You can set the pause up to 60s.

Total minute counter per SIM

Benefit: See how much the SIM was used without counting it.
Tech: Go to SIMs and view some SIM details. In left column near the end, you can find
Calling time (one counter of total SIM usage, second one for last SIM usage).

Online actions over logged SIMs
Benefit: Recharge, send USSD&SMS, make a call without unlogging SIM.
Details: In the past, if you requested some action over SIM, the SIM unlogged and
usually different SIM took the place. Now you can log SIMs and work with them.

Outgoing traffic block over channels
Benefit: You can block specific channel(s). No need to alter softswitch or gateway
routing.
Details: Call and SMS traffic can be controlled separately. Useful for checking if SIMs
are ok or if you need to do some specific action like recharging, USSD command, SMS or
call.
Tech: Go to GSMs, click edit and use section Traffic control.

USSD answer verification in Activation

Benefit: Better reliability of USSD Activation
Details: Some operators can reply to USSD with messages like Service out of order",
some operators will not process the command at all and the gateway gets error code.
Now both cases are covered. If there is a wrong reply, the activation is considered as
failed. You are able to see the response in SIM Details and you can decide if you want to
try again.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups, choose a SIM group to Edit and find in Activation section
parameter USSD Test.

Check boxes in all tables in GSMs

Benefit: Now you can select channels and change settings also in other views, for
example in Call View and in ACD/ASR view.

After failed call relax
Benefit: Calling slow down, after failed (unanswered) call there can be pause
Details: In the past the pause could be only after successful (connected) call. You can
set different pause for successful and for failed call.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups, click add/edit SIM Group and see section SIM card common
settings.

USSD recharging answer in SIM View

Benefit: Easily check last used recharging code and USSD reply in SIM details.
Tech: Go to SIMs and use View icon over SIM.

PIN per SIM
Benefit: No need to unlock PIN in cell phone.
Details: SIM cards are coming PIN protected. Our system required no PIN or same PIN
for all SIMs in SIM board. Now you can create file and upload PINs to system for each
SIM. SIM is directly used in our system.
Tech: Create a file in following form:
SCID1 PIN1
SCID2 PIN2

And upload it via SIMs/Action Menu/Load SCID/PIN from file. Then insert SIM boards
with SIMs. PINs will be automatically paired with SIMs.

Slow Activation
Benefit: Network is not overloaded with activation requests.
Details: If enabled, one SIM can be activated in same time per SIM group. The next
SIM is activated after given time.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups and add/edit SIM group. In SIM card activation plan set relax
time before another SIM is assigned for activation. Pause can be up to 10 hours.

Call Simulation Monitoring

Benefit: See active calls and history of call simulation
Tech: Go to SIM Groups/Simulation Status

Mirroring control from Web

Benefit: SIM Server mirroring can be set in web interface.
Details: Other way via linux command line is still available.

Keep SIM logged after Activation/Recharging
Benefit: Allows faster activation.
Details: By default SIM was unlogged after every Activation or Recharging. Now you can
do all actions in row and SIM can be immediately used for calling.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups and add/edit SIM group. Check Keep logged after in Activation
or Recharging section.

6 Activations instead of 2
Benefit: More complicated activation of several steps supported.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups and add/edit SIM group.

Phone number detection from USSD

Benefit: System can automatically detect number in USSD message from operator.
Details: If operator isnt sending phone number via USSD, you can still upload list of
phone numbers to system.
Tech: Go to SIM Groups and add/edit SIM group. There is new section Phone number
detection. Requires usage of 1 Activation.

IMEI duplicity check can be disabled

Benefit: It is possible to use same IMEI for more SIMs
Details: Warning. SIM with same IMEI can be blocked.
Tech: Go to IMEIs and add/import IMEI. Check Multiple if you want to upload same
IMEI more time. If you want same IMEI for 10 SIMs then you have to insert 10 times
same IMEI.

Basic Server Info

Benefit: Processor, memory and operating system can be now displayed.
Tech: Go to SIM Server/SIM Server about.

IVR Activation to multiple numbers
Benefit: Faster activation if call must be received by mobile phone.
Details: Some SIMs require activation with regular call to someone mobile phone
number. Now you can set more numbers which are randomly dialed. In the past only
one number was possible.
Tech: Go to Sim Groups/Activation and select IVR. You can use up to 200 characters to
define numbers separated with comma.

SIM Group priorities in Rules

Benefit: Some SIMs can be preferred before other SIMs are used. For example because
better calling rate.
Details: GSM group can be linked with up to 4 SIM groups. SIM groups with same
priority are searched together for free SIM.
Tech: Go to Rules, add or edit Rule. Set 3 for lowest priority, set 0 for highest priority.

Save/Load database from web

Benefit: Instead of command line, web interface can be used for back-up/restoring
database.
Tech: Go to SIM Server/Restart.

Global Call Simulator
Benefit: One place to set. Simulated calls are not made in one location. Available for all
gateways with 2N SimStar support
Details: 2N VoiceBlue Next, 2N BlueTower and 2N StarGate can be used with Global
Call Simulator. 2N BlueTower and 2N StarGate have still available own Call Simulator
which can be used without 2N SimStar.
Tech: Every SIM Group has own settings for call simulation. Global Call Simulator has
higher priority. You can not use it together with Call Simulator inside gateways.

Display gateway on Google Maps

Benefit: Verify where gateway is located.
Details: SIM distribution can be controlled by GPS position of gateways. Wrong settings
can lead to unpredictable behavior. Now you can easily verify if you inserted correct GPS
location.
Tech: Go to Gateways, choose gateway and click on View, then select View in Google
Maps from Action menu.
