RESUMO

Considerando a importncia dos revestimentos de argamassa no contexto da construo

civil e em especial o seu requisito de adequada aderncia aos diversos tipos de
substrato, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo promover uma ampla revis o sobre os
principais aspectos relacionados aos materiais que interferem nesta propriedade.
Portanto, com enfoque cientfico e tecnolgico, o trabalho apresenta um resumo sobre o
estado-da-arte do mecanismo de aderncia, bem como uma discusso sobre os
principais fatores que exercem influencia tanto na resistncia quanto na extenso de
ader8ncia dos revestimentos constitudos de argamassas inorgnicas executados sobre
substratos porosos. Entre esses principais fatores, discute-se a influncia dos materiais
constituintes, tais como: a natureza e o teor de aglomerantes, as caractersticas da areia,
os tipos de aditivos e adies minerais, a presena de materiais finos argilosos (saibros)
e os aspectos relativos dgua de amassamento. Tamb m so abordados os efeitos do
tipo e preparo do substrato, em especial aqueles relacionados so propriedades e
caractersticas da base, assim como ao seu preparo e diferentes formas de tratamento.

ABSTRACT
Considering the importance of renders in the civil construction context and specially
their requirement of suitable bond to the several types of substrate, the present work
aims to promote a general revision on the main aspects related to the materials which
interfere with this property. Therefore, within a scientific and technological approach,
the paper presents a summary about the status-of-art concerning the bond mechanism,
as well a discussion on the main factors which influence so the bond strength as the
bond extension of renders consisted of inorganic mortars applied over porous
substrates. Among these main factors, it is discussed the influence of the constituted
materials, such as: nature and content of binders, sand characteristics, types of mineral
and organic admixtures, presence of clay fines materials (clay-shale) and aspects related
to the mixing water. Also, effects of the substrate type and preparing are discussed,
specially those regarding to the base properties and characteristics, as well as to its
preparing and different forms of treatment.
