5. A resistance of 50 is connected in series with a pure inductor of 250 mH. The
circuit is connected to a 50Hz sinusoidal supply and the voltage across the
resistance is 150 V. Calculate the supply voltage.

6. A supply of 200 V, 50Hz is connected to a 20 resistor in series with a choke coil.
The reading of the voltmeter across the resistor is 100 V and across the coil is 144

having 60 resistor and 125 uf capacitor. This parallel circuit is connected to a 230
V, 50Hz supply. Calculate (a) the supply current and (b) the equivalent circuit
impedance, resistance, and reactance.

11. A coil having a resistance of 8 and an inductance of 0.05H is connected across

16. A circuit consists of a 5 resistance, a 20 mH inductor, and a 10 uF capacitor,

the voltage developed across the capacitor is maximum and calculate the
magnitude of this voltage.

17. A coil has a resistance of 200 and an inductance of 152 uH. Find the
capacitance of a capacitor which when connected in parallel with the coil will
produce resonance with a supply frequency of 1.5 mHz. If a second capacitor of

frequency at which resonance will occur.
