Objectives:
Learn photography skills
Use Photoshop to edit a photo
Designing on Photoshop
Incorporate split complimentary colors
Combine different fonts
Process:
I took this photo of my bowl with a Rebel T5 camera. I simply got a black cloth
to put under the bowl and went outside to have better lighting. In Photoshop,
I used the selective colors tool to make the colors red, orange, and teal stand
out. I repeated the split complimentary colors through simple lines to make
the theme colors stand out and frame the photo. With a simple quote to
compliment the bowl, I incorporated the colors to bring out a message.

Edit HTML and CSS coding
Know which fonts are appropriate for a webpage
Process:
Using only Text Wrangler, I create an HTML code of a basic webage. I added
photos to help bring out the meaning of the logo. With a pre-made CSS, I tied
linked it to the HTML code. I added the font Times New Roman and Helvetica,
commonly used fonts for webpages in a PC and Mac computer. I used
W3Schools, a coding website, as a guide to put the page together.

Objectives:
Use the Direct Selection Tool
Incorporate monochromatic, Complimentary, and Triadic color schemes
Expand to different font choices
Create a logo fit for a company
Process:
Using the Rectangle Tool, I was able to make most of the shapes for all of the
logos. Then with the Direct Selection tool, I was able to manipulate the shapes
to curve or slant the way I wanted. The Pen Tool was used for more complex and
intricate shapes. This project has helped me think outside the box for different
fonts that would go well with the logos.

to organize or the fold of the brochure will be. Then in Photoshop, I used the
select Quick Selection Tool to have a perfect cut out of my images. Using a refine
mask, I was able to better edit the edges of the photo. After placing them in the
brochure, I text wrapped the paragraphs around the alpha channel of the image.
I used the three red stripes from the logo throughout the brochure to add flow
and repetition.

Use basic tools of Illustrator and InDesign
Process:
I used the Rectangle Tool to create two rectangle for the front and back of
the business card. I placed the logo and copied the theme colors to add
togetherness. I took the Hula girl and placed her on one side of the business
card so an observer may quickly know the purpose of the business card.
Line of the three colors were added to unify everything. I copied the contact
information and the logo into the letter. I copied the palm tree and added it into
the letter and lowered the opacity to make it into a watermark.

Watermark
Use basic tools of Illustrator and InDesign
Process:
I copied the contact information and the logo into the letter. The palm tree
was separated from the logo and added it into the letter. I lowered the opacity
to make it into a watermark. Having the image of the just the palm tree in the
letter head and just the hula girl in the business card helps unify them together
since they are part of the logo.
