MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST STRATEGY

If the test has no time limit or a long enough time allowed to read it through, use the 3
Read Strategy. If you have a short time limit for your reading speed, use the 2 Read
Strategy.
Before you start on the test, ask the test giver if Wrong answers are subtracted from the
Right answer total. Wrong subtracted from Right answers is extremely rare, but if it is
the case, do not guess on answers unless you can eliminate at least one choice on
each. If Wrong subtracted from Right is not the case, then answer all questions even if
you have to make a wild-ass guess.
3 Read Strategy
1) Quickly read through the test, and answer the questions that you are really sure of.
2) Read through the test again and answer the questions that you are pretty sure of.
Frequently, you can figure out some of the answers from the first read through.
3) Read through the test again. For each unanswered question, eliminate the answers
that are obviously wrong, then choose what you feel is the best guess.
4) If you have time, read the test again, but only make changes if you are really sure.

2 Read Strategy
1) Quickly read through the test, and answer the questions that you are really sure of.
2) Read through the test again and answer the questions that you are pretty sure of and
the rest of the questions. Frequently, you can figure out some of the answers from the
first read through. For the difficult questions, eliminate the answers that are obviously
wrong, then choose what you feel is the best guess.
