How to Ride
1. Be at the bus stop at least five minutes
before the bus is scheduled to arrive.
2. Stand in a visible location and look for
the bus route number.
3. Have your exact fare or STAR Card ready
when you board the bus. Tap your STAR
Card or place your cash fare in the slot.
4. Take your seat. If no seats are available hold one of the poles for stability.
Remember, seats in the front of the bus
are for senior citizens and passengers
with disabilities.
5. Touch the signal bar before your stop
to signal the operator to stop. If you are
not sure about your stop just ask the
operator.
6. Exit through the rear door once the
vehicle has come to a complete stop.

3. Look for a bus route or routes that connect these points.
4. You will need to get the individual route details for these routes, or
a schedule; this information is available 24-hours a day at jtafla.
com. Schedules are also available at the Rosa Parks Transit Station
and most libraries. If you need assistance planning your trip, call

To see if you qualify to use JTAs Paratransit Service, call the Eligibility
and Training Center at (904) 265-6001 or (904) 636-7402 TDD to request information and an application. You will be required to schedule
an in-person interview and possible functional assessment.
Many JTA routes connect with the Skyway. Please consult the above map
of downtown Jacksonville to find connections to bus service.
Effective January 1, 2015: ADA/Paratransit eligible customers who move from Connexion to
fixed route will receive complimentary rides on fixed route bus service only with Paratransit
STAR Card.
The Skyway is complimentary to ride.

The Jacksonville Water Taxi operates ferry service between destinations
in downtown Jacksonville. This is not a JTA service but provides
alternative transportation options in the downtown area.

Route 1. The 30-minute ride between the Rosa Parks Transit
Station on Route 1 and Jacksonville International Airport is just

JTA Stadium Shuttle Service (SSS)
Tired of chasing your tail looking for parking at Jaguars games?

JTAs SSS allows fans to park at one of our lots in Jacksonville and
the Beaches and ride to the game in comfort aboard one of our
climate-controlled vehicles. Round trip passes cost $7 for
Downtown lots and $12for all other lots.

JTA Paratransit Service provides door-to-door transportation for

individuals with physical, cognitive or visual disabilities who are
functionally unable to use JTAs fixed route service.

Bikes on Buses
JTAs Bikes on Buses (BOB) service enables you to take your bike
with you to work, school, shopping or wherever you take the bus
(bike racks are also available on some JTA Trolleys).
Using BOB is free, and no special permit is required. For more
information on BOB, including instructions on how to load your
bike, request a Bikes on Buses brochure from any bus operator or
visit www.jtafla.com and click on Bikes on Buses under Riding JTA.
Evacuation Information
When an official disaster has been declared by Duval County, the

JTA will provide assistance in transporting the general public to the
City of Jacksonville public shelters.
All of JTAs Sunday service bus stops will serve as designated
evacuation pick-up points. Special needs customers requiring
service during a disaster must pre-register by calling (904) 630-2472
or by visiting www.coj.net.
Pay attention to the local media for detailed instructions or call
(904) 630-CITY for additional information during a disaster.

On The Move: Regional Travel Training Program
JTA buses and Community Shuttles operate on a Sunday schedule

on the following holidays:
JTA and On The Move have teamed up to offer individuals, including

those with physical, mental or developmental disabilities the
opportunity to learn to travel independently and safely on JTA buses,
Trolleys, Community Shuttles and the Skyway. On The Move training is
complimentary and can be offered one on one or in a group setting.

The Skyway does not typically operate on these holidays; however,

it may operate during special events such as the TaxSlayer Bowl
and Florida-Georgia weekend.
