Subject: Application seeking permission to submit in delay the half
yearly progress report of the Ph.D.

Respected Sir,
This is to inform you that the date of my admission to Ph.D. in the
department of Sanskrit of your esteemed university is 17 th May, 2012. On
18th July, 2013, I received a registration number, i.e. 040484, of 20042005 with the Ref. No. Ph.D. 2098 (2), dated 21/08/2013. At that time I
did not know about the half yearly progress report to be submitted.
Nowhere in our registration certificate it is mentioned either. After one and
half year when I came to know about it I have submitted my first progress
report in the month of March, 2015.
However my progress in procuring manuscripts, transcribing, collating
them and concerned data collecting took a lot of time and have been
satisfactory. Now, I would like to submit my due four progress reports. I
beg your pardon for my delay and request you to kindly allow me to
submit these reports.
I shall be highly obliged if you kindly consider my request favourably and
allow me to carry on my research work successfully.
