11) WORK INSTRUCTIONS

:
11.1 PREOCCUPATIONAL CHECK:
a)

Proper safety tool box talk prior to starting the job.

b)

Obtain PTW (Height permit, if applicable).

c)

Ensure that the persons involved are using PPEs as mentioned above.

d)

Check availability of all necessary and proper tools available at site.

e)

Person must use safe platform for standing during cleaning of cables.

f) Ensure proper and dry hand gloves.

11.2

Ensure proper earthing of cable try.

Cleaning of cable tray:

a) Open the cable tray cover.
b) Clean the power and control cable tray with the air blower.
c) Maintain safe distance of atleast 0.5 mtr from the charged cable.
d) Avoid Blowing of air on cable joints, if any.
e) Close the cable tray cover after cleaning.
f)

Any unsafe condition to be intimated to Shift Incharge, Shift Engineer, Area

EMS CONSIDERATION

: Hiradec no. HIR-POM/ELE/ROU/1, 7.1, 7.2

After cleaning and blowing off the dust from trays the floor should be cleaned,
dust or foreign material to be collected and disposed off at specified location.

After completion of cleaning work, remove all wastages around the work
place.

Better to use vacuum cleaner for carrying out the required job.

OH&S CONSIDERATION
a)

All personnel must wear necessary Safety PPEs like Rubber Knitted Gloves,
Goggles, Helmet, Shoes, Dust Mask, Ear muff, etc.
