Calculation is based upon a simple resistance formula only
Final voltage = Original voltage - (resistance of cable * current in cable)
There are a few ways of calculating approximate voltage drop - this is the most basic
but accurate enough for the current consumption and voltages we're using
Typical allowable voltage drop for a camera is 10%, i.e. if it needs 12V to run, it will USUALLY run well on 10.8V
It's a good 'rule of thumb' but may not be the case for every camera.some may refuse to run at anything below 12V!
