The angels of the sephirah Kether are the
Seraphim, in Hebrew Hayoth HaKadesh, which
is translated as Holy Living Creatures. Hayoth
is the plural of haya which means life.
At the beginning of the Book of Ezekiel in
the Old Testament there is a description of the
four Holy Living Creatures, which is very
similar to the one given by St John in the Book
of Revelations:
At once I was in the spirit, and there in
heaven stood a throne, with one seated
on the throne . . . Around the throne, and
on each side of the throne, are four living
creatures full of eyes in front and behind:
the first living creature like a lion, the
second living creature like an ox, the third
living creature with a face like a human
face, and the fourth living creature like a

When God gave Moses the nusslon of
freeing the Hebrews from the yoke of the
Egyptians, Moses replied: 'If I come to the
Israelites and say to them, "The God of your
ancestors has sent me to you," and they ask me,
"What is his name?" what shall I say to them? '
Then God replied: 'Ehieh Asher Ehieh' (the
literal meaning of which is 'I shall be who I
shall be' ). And God added: 'Thus you shall say
to the Israelites: "I shall be" has sent me to
you. '
Thus Ehieh, the name of God that
corresponds to the sephirah Kether, means 'I
shall be. ' God names himself 'I shall be' in
order to show that he has not manifested
himself completely. He is the being of sublime
becoming, he whom we can neither see, nor
hear, nor touch.

they can go up and down on the cosmic ladder,

inhabited by a higher soul that reaches to
heaven, which is an emanation of God. This is
why your life will have real meaning only when
you are in touch with that immortal soul that is
light, harmony, and power. It is through this
soul that you can be in communion both with
the Creator and with the universe that he
created, for it is in itself the quintessence of
that universe. And if you think of it and have
recourse to it more often, if you link yourself to
it, if you speak to it and identify with it, you
will begin to understand what your true self
really is. Then your consciousness will reach a
higher plane, and its vibrations will become
ever more intense until it melts into the
consciousness of that sublime, higher soul, and
you become one with God.

A great many people have come to me at
different times, hoping that I would give them
easy ways to develop psychic faculties, magical
powers , and so on. When I told them that the
most effective way of obtaining such powers
was to purify oneself, to do a thorough spring
cleaning of one ' s inner self, they turned away
immediately-and you should have seen the
