Revised: 10/23/2008
Rationale:
Discussing with the students on what
they think about the devastating
situation Vieques is going through, due
to the harmful bombing in the
Caribbean Ocean by United States
military. It will allow students to
analyze the Vieques situation and
develop ideas on ways to help improve
the situation in the island. Students will
be able to relate the harm that humans
have done to the Island of Vieques to
the harm that we unconsciously do to
our planet due to our bad habits that
contribute to the planets pollution. It
will also allow them to develop better
ways of protecting planet earth.
