For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9

is a spiritual battle and prayer is our most powerful weapon. We recognize that prayer is essential to every initiative

Bible Reading: Luke 12:1-12; 2 Thess. 2:1-12; Psalm 146; 2 Chron. 22-24

Bible Reading: Luke 12:22-34; 2 Thess. 3:1-5; Psalm 148; 2 Chron. 28-29

Pray over the sermon from Sunday and ask the Lord to
help you identifying areas in your life where you can apply
what was learned from the sermon.

We know from Romans 1 that many lost people worship the

creation. We know this to be foolishness, but we are prone to
swing the pendulum so far in the other direction that we pay
no attention to creation as a matter of worship. Instead, we
ought to read Psalm 19:1-6 and allow the extravagant wonder
of the world to ignite in our hearts an ascending praise to the
Creator of such fascinating beauty. Let the living intricacies
of each leafs veins fill our hearts with wonder for the inventor of such meticulous operations. May the sight of the rising
sun, shimmering tiny rainbows in the morning dew, be to our
souls a refreshing reminder of the reverence we ought to
have for the orchestrator of such delightful providences. What
wonderful Father could invent such satisfying circumstances
for his children? How marvelous is our Kings kingdom that it
should fill our lives with such creative beauty at every turn?
Being surrounded constantly by such wonder, a fully immersive experience, ought to give a vibrance to our lives as we
look around us and see the creative powers of the one who
hung the moon. Let us, with creation, declare the glory of the
Lord.

Tuesday

Thursday

Bible Reading: Luke 12:13-21; 2 Thess. 2:13-17; Psalm 147; 2 Chron. 25-27

Bible Reading: Luke 12:35-48; 2 Thess. 3:6-13; Psalm 149; 2 Chron. 30-33

In 1 Thessalonians 2:13 Paul gives thanks to God for the Thessalonians as he does in 1:3. Paul is giving thanks because their
faith and love for one another is growing. He is also giving
thanks because God chose them to be saved through Christ
and to be sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Pray and thank God
for Him choosing you, Christ saving you, and the Holy Spirits
work in sanctifying you. Pray that the Lord grows your faith
abundantly and your love for one another increases.

You have seen them: people out there, apart from Christ,
who will one day be experiencing physical pain in hell as
their bodies are actually burned unceasingly. We would
want to put this out of our minds quickly because it is
unpleasant, but the uncomfortable nature of the thought
ought instead to move us to action.
It is simple. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord
will be saved. They need faith to call on Christ in order to
be saved, and faith comes from hearing, and hearing the
word of Christ.
How then will they call on him in whom they have not
believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom
they have not heard?
That person whom you may encounter today, or this
week, needs not be on their way to eternal suffering. God
has placed you in their path as the mouthpiece of eternal
life for them. R
ead Romans 10:12-17 and ask the Lord how
he would have you respond.
