One New Man

July 24-30

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron and
his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is
flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go
well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great You are and
how much I love You. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed in my body and
my soul.
In Jesus name, Amen

I will go out and invite others into the Kingdom of God so Gods
plan to make one family out of two will be done and there will be
peace on earth.
Ephesians 2:15
I will hold on to my sure foundation, the Chief Cornerstone, Jesus
Christ.
I Peter 2:6
I am grafted into the family tree of God.
Romans 11:17

The Law showed us what sin is, but only the blood of Jesus can remove it.

Ephesians 2:15, His purpose was to create in Himself one new man
out of the two, thus making peace.

Gods plan for Abraham and his descendants was to make them His
family. Another part of His plan was to make them separate from all
other people groups living on the earth. His people were called Jews
and all other people were called Gentiles. The Jews were given The Law
because God wanted to protect them. If they kept The Law the Jews
would stay away from many temptations to sin so they wouldnt be
punished by Gods holy anger against sin.
The Law told them what sin was, but it could not save them from sin or
keep them close to God. And this is what God has always wanted: for
his children to be close to Him. So He sent His Son, Jesus, who gave
His life to do away with the judgments against both groups of people,
the Jews and the Gentiles. Jesus told His disciples that The Kingdom
of God is open to all who believe in Him. Because Jesus did not look
like the Jewish leaders expected the Messiah to look and He did not
talk like they expected the Messiah to talk, many of the Jews would not
believe He was the Messiah that they had been waiting on for hundreds
of years.
God is not mad at the Jews who do not believe and receive Jesus, but
wants them back in the family. Jews who accept Christ are called
Messianic Jews because they believe Jesus is the Chosen One (Messiah)
who came to help them out of their troubles (sins).
In the story of the wedding supper Jesus explains to the Jewish leaders
that many who are invited into the Kingdom of God will not come so
God will send out servants to go and get others to come. We, who
believe, are like those servants who go out and bring others back.
Gods plan in sending Jesus was to make peace between the Jews and
the Gentiles by creating one new family from the two groups.
