POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
FULL-TIME TEMPORARY LECTURER
IN NURSING

Applications and nominations are being accepted for a 12-month, full-time temporary Lecturer position in
Nursing, teaching in the Master’s Entry-level Professional Nursing (MEPN) program, the RN-BSN
program and MSN program in the School of Nursing, College of Professional Studies, at California State
University, Dominguez Hills.

Qualifications: Master’s degree with preparation in gerontology nursing; an earned doctorate in nursing
or a related field; and possession of, or eligibility for, RN licensure in California. Preference given to
candidates with substantial experience in academic coordination, online teaching and master’s entry-level
programs.

Primary Responsibilities: Classroom and online teaching in the MEPN, BSN and MSN programs.
Curriculum development, implementation and evaluation. Coordination with the CA Board of Registered
Nursing. Scholarly and service activities that support the mission of the School and the University.

Program Description: The School of Nursing offers classroom-based courses and online courses for pre-
licensure and registered nurse students throughout California and nationally. The degree programs are:
RN-BSN, MEPN (Clinical Nurse Leader option), and MSN with role options in Administration, Clinical
Nurse Specialist, Education, and Family Nurse Practitioner. The School also offers the Public Health
Certificate (undergraduate) and Post-Master’s Certificates in the role options.

Rank and Salary: Appointment at rank of Lecturer and salary in the position are dependent upon
qualifications and professional experience.
