ry. For example, if the optical and sound nerves are disconnected and the person
is not able to see or hear the bird, it does not prove that the bird does not e
xist. Actually, the virtual reality is a very inappropriate term to describe May
a. Maya is not unreal, the energy that it contains is very real, only the percep
tion that it generates is illusory, which means what we see is there but may be
not like the way we see it. That is the manifested state of Brahman. The brain i
n itself is a part of that manifestation as is the entire material body of any l
iving being. Hence there is no point in putting logic of the brain in understand
ing or negating Maya, It won't work!
But what we can surely understand from our very own material existence is that i
t doesn't last. We all have to die one day and that is something which is a part
of Maya.
But in reality nobody is born or dies, our consciousness is unborn and it is ete
rnal. If we can understand that, we will be able to focus our life towards spiri
tual enlightenment rather than seeking pleasures of the material world.
When Arjuna, the great warrior from Mahabharata was engulfed in anguish over fig
hting his own brothers in a battle, Krishna enlightened him and showed him the t
rue nature of supreme consciousness. Arjuna understood that the people he was wo
rrying about actually doesn't exist for real, they would eventually die one day
and if he doesn't fight, he would be straying from his Karma, as a warrior and t
hat would take him further away from reaching the supreme.
The Hindu spiritual books mention the human life as the most supreme form of lif
e in the material world and its actually a gateway to Moksha. Thus, we should ta
ke this life very seriously and not waste it. We know we are stuck in something
illusory as Maya and we shouldn't want to return to it when we die, we should be
realizing the absolute reality and achieve supreme consciousness.

The fact of the matter is, there exist NO 33 crore Gods.. The exact word that oc
curs in the Vedas for 'crore' is Koti (????) which in many languages like Marath
i literally indicate the numerical value of crore. But are we really to take tha
t meaning?
If we go deep in the language of Sanskrit, we understand that the word Koti inde
ed does mean 'crore' but more correctly, it means 'types'. So 33 Koti Gods means
33 types or families of Gods.

relates with, engaging in material life, forgetting the supreme to be worshippe
