SUMMARY
My name is Hariprasath Mohan. I am currently a Year 1 student from the Diploma in
Information Security and Forensics in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I enjoy working with computers,
learning different programming languages and using them to achieve certain objective or
tasks for example protecting important data and information.
Because of my strong interest in programming and ethical hacking, I have selected
Information Security and Forensics as my course. Before joining the course, I would
always hear news about data leaks, online cyber-attacks on banks as well as hacking into
people`s accounts to obtain private information. Hence, I wanted to become an IT
Security expert who is able to identify problems in the system, track down the invaders
before they attack again and be able to create innovative solutions to prevent such
attacks from ever reoccurring.
I aspire to join places such as IDA, MINDEF and Home team upon graduation to be able to
understand the various security needs for different clients. and hope to be able to gain
internship with related companies and I look forward to receiving your guidance on the
industry and advice that will help path my career.

COMMITTEE MEMBER, HONG KAH SECONDARY SCHOOL INFOCOMM CLUB

I joined the Infocomm Club in 2012 and was promoted to committee member in
charge of admin and events in 2014. I helped promote the CCA during the annual
CCA Open houses as well as plan orientation events for the incoming members. I also
lead a team of seniors during the official Sec 1 interview sessions. I represented the
school in competitions and won 1st place in a national competition. The CCA also
conducted a community service project through which we taught the elderly how to
use IPADs.

2014-2015

MEMBER, IDA YOUTH INFOCOMM AMBASSADORS

I actively participated in the group meetings where we came up with various ideas
and events to encourage secondary school students to take up careers in Infocomm.
Events include teaching programming to secondary school students in Singapore
Polytechnic and organizing IT-related events for the community. I learned many
valuable skills such as event planning and marketing and I also managed to improve
my programming skills in the company of students who have a deep interest in
Infocomm technology.

I actively participated in CCA sessions where we were taught how to build and
program robots for competitions such as Robosoccer.
