Dear Friends,

Today is the day so many people have been praying about

for so long.
Today is the day that our work pei'iaits (the
papers that allow us to stay in Zimbabwe)were to expire.
The officials did not have them completely processed yet so
we have been given until May 26th.
SO
KEEP PRAYING
PLEASE! We will let you know as soon as we hear anything.
We have been very busy lately with our regular work
plus much much more.
i liave wondered if maybe the Lord is
trying to keep us busy so we don't have time to think about
our

papers

so

much.

We were on our way to Harare, the capital city, for a

mission meeting the other day at 6:00 AM. As we left the
house I noticed a man coming down our driveway. It was Mr.

Dixon, one of the church leaders in the area. When we met

him, he told us that his little son had been bitten by a
cobra and could we please come. We had another missionary
couple with

us plus

our two

girls.

They al) 1 piled out of

the truck and went back to the house while Steve, Mr. Oixon,
and myself tore out to the village about 17 miles from here!
To make a long story short, we got him to the hospital about
an hour's drive away and he is alright. We went on to the
mission meeting and weren't even very late.

I noticed on the way to the hospital when I was

looking at the little boy's leg where he had been bilteti
that he was wearing his new clothes that some wonderful
Christian in the USA had sent to him. He was so proud of

those clothes that he hardly noticed his swollen, blackening

leg.
Our thanks go out again to those who sent clothes.

There is still a need so

if you

have clothes to send, we

could still make good use of them.

A few days ago, I had occasion to be out in some of the

villages where we have already dispensed clothing. It was a
cold rainy day and as I got out of the truck. I noticed

those who came to meet me were wearing their new jackets or

sweaters.
We stood and talked a little while and something
became very evident.
There were not nearly as many coughs
among the children as there had been on the day we gave out
the clothing.

That made me so happy.

We had a terrific Easter meeting with the people at the

Potie Churches.
There were 39 baptized that day and almost
that many were baptized the next Sunday.
Steve preached
very simply on Easter.
He simply told the story of the
death and ressurection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
These people had never heard the entire story before. We
are still seeing results from that day.

Praise the Lord!

In His service.
