Oracle Further Extends Premier Support Phase for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 Cu
stomers
In May, with partnership from the OAUG Customer Support Council and Board, Oracl
e announced an extension to the Oracle Lifetime Support Policy for Oracle E-Busi
ness Suite 12.1.
To provide better clarity and additional benefits to our customers, the decision
was made to further extend Premier Support and remove Extended Support, which t
ypically has associated uplift fees.
Announcement:
As of July 14, Oracle removed the Extended Support term and replaced it with Pre
mier Support.
The July updates will reflect the Premier Support term for Oracle E-Business Sui
te 12.1 was extended a total of five additional years and will now run through D
ecember 31, 2021.
The current listing of Extended Support from January 2017 to December 31, 2021,
will be removed
as it is replaced by Premier Support.

Customers running Oracle Fusion Middleware 10gR2 and 10gR3 in the Oracle E-Busin
ess Suite version 12 internal technology stack will remain supported for the dur
ation of the support period for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.

Oracle continues to partner with the OAUG Support Council in finding ways to inc
rease value for the customer base. This change extends the Premier Benefits for
12.1.3 through 2021.
Previous Oracle E-Business Suite Policy Change Announcements:
April 2016:
12.1 Premier Support until December 2016 and Extended Support until December 202
1. Two addtional years added to Extended Support.
12.2 Premier Support until September 2023. Two additional years added to Premier
Support.

September 2013: Premier Support for E-Business Suite Release 12.1 was extended b
y 31 months from May 2014, to December,2016. The Extended Support period for Rel
ease 12.1 was extended by an additional year through December 2021. Uplift fees
were waived for Extended Support from January 2017
December 2019 for customers wit
h an active support contract.

Support Council continues to provide your feedback to Oracle regarding the recen
t changes to EBS Support, specifically some confusion around the nature of exten
ded support, uplift costs etc., Oracle has responded by simplifying the support
model by extending Premier Support out to Dec 2021! This update from Oracle, and
Oracle s request to announce this jointly, further shows the value we all get from
OAUG membership. The value of membership not only applies for us individually, b
