SDC Scheme
To establish Data Centres in all the States/UTs so that
common secure IT infrastructure is created to host state
level e-Governance applications/Data to enable seamless
delivery of (G2G), (G2C) and (G2B) services duly supported
by State Wide Area Network and Common Service Centres .
Approved on 24th January 2008
Total outlay : Rs. 1623.20 Cr (for 5 years)

The line departments would only require


the physical and external connectivity
infrastructure of the data center to host
their applications.
The DCO shall ensure availability of entire
core infrastructure and assist in co-location
of the application. Respective application
infrastructure to be brought by the line
departments

Partial outsourced model:


Some of the shared infrastructure (SAN &
Compute) to be used by the line

Punjab SWAN
Punjab State Wide Area Network (PAWAN SWAN) Project was approved by the
Empowered Committee in March 2005 for overall outlay of Rs. 62.23 Crores (DIT as
well as State share).

Punjab SWAN
Punjab SWAN is fully implemented and operational since September 2009, and has
established a seamless, secured, G2G IP based intranet connecting one State Hqr, 20
District PoPs and 175 Block level PoPs (Total 196 PoPs). All PoPs are operational.

Issues:
No UC has been received from the State
No QGR has been released by the State
