Ceramics I is a year long course that is designed for

students who are interested in learning more about
ceramics. Based upon the Visual Art Standards,
students will learn the various techniques and tools
used to manipulate clay, as well as gain knowledge of
a variety of glazing techniques and vocabulary. The
goal of this course is for students to create a body of
work and explore their artistic skills using clay as the
vehicle of expression and communication. The
Colorado Standards for the visual arts will be used to
guide the development of this course.
Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.
