Day 1

Arrival / Kenya ~ Nairobi ~ Angama Mara

Angama Mara is best accessed by plane from Nairobis (Kenya) Wilson Airport as there are several scheduled daily
flights from Wilson Airport to Angama Maras private hardtop airfield located just a few minutes away from the lodge.

On arrival at Wilson Airport, a representative at the airport will be on hand to assist you for your scheduled morning or
afternoon flight (included in the package) to the Masai Mara. This flight is approximately 45 minutes to the Angama
Airstip depending on routing, where upon arrival at the airstrip you will be met by a driver/guide who will transfer you to
Angama Mara to check in and your safari begins.
Here youll find a lodge where everything is as it ought to be. Just two intimate camps of just fifteen tented suites each, a
private airfield and access to the Mara below, tailor-made safari days and a famously warm Kenyan welcome.

Day 2

Angama Mara

At sunrise, get woken with a soft knock on the door for early morning coffee/tea just in time for your safari to be the first
down into the Mara Triangle just as the sun comes up. The light is beautiful and the nocturnal predators are wrapping up
their nightly pursuits.
A morning safari has so much to offer, lovely light for photography, birding along the river and maybe even a leopard
lazing in a tree watching the passing Mara parade. The action never stops and after a picnic breakfast somewhere in the
Mara Triangle, sit quietly with a family of elephants.
At midday enjoy lunch in your tent or lunch at the guest area, there are simply too many choices and wherever you
decide to have lunch, you can be assured of a great view with delicious food prepared using Kenyas finest produce.
Angama Maras chefs will prepare mezze platters, open sandwiches, crisp salads and why not, a hamburger too.
In the afternoon, time for a safari down the private track to the Mara Triangle where your experienced guide will you
introduce to the beauty of this reserve and the many creatures that call it home.
And for the sunset, watch the Mara change colour as the sun dips away and you are soaking in your bath with a view
(glass of wine close at hand of course) and then wind down the day at the barazza fire pit sharing stories about your
African adventures.

Day 3

Angama Mara

It is still dark but coffee/tea is served to your tent, time for a bucket list adventure! Float over the game filled plains in a
hot air balloon at sunrise with the Mara River stretching out below. This is an unmatched safari as even the lions look up
in surprise as you sail on by.
For the mid-morning, why dont you stretch your legs and take a walk this morning. Tailor make your own walk with your
Maasai naturalist that will advise you on the many lovely walks from which to choose. From a gentle amble around the
lodge to a more strenuous trek along the edge of the Rift Valley the choice is yours.
After that walking safari its time for the pool! Take your book and head to the Pavilion where you will find a lovely 12meter infinity pool perfect to laze in the sun or the shade and order a platter of Kenyas finest cheese and a glass of
chilled white wine.
In the afternoon, enjoy a great in-tent massage, and then toast the sunset in the traditional brush packed half-moon
Maasai boma where every evening before sunset, guests gather to celebrate the end of another wonderful day in Africa
with views of the Mara, the Out of Africa kopje and the Escarpment that just add to the theatrical display.

Day 4

Departure / Angama Mara ~ Nairobi ~ Kenya

On your last day, enjoy the wonders of a safari without leaving the comfort of your deck. The sky never sits still and there
is always something to spot 300 metres below. Elephant families melting in and out of the forest a thousand buffalo
lazing about giraffe stepping daintily down from the escarpment or a pod of hippo moving from one water body to the
next.
Afterwards it will be time to say goodbye to your hosts as a driver/guide will transfer you from Angama Mara to the
Angama Airstip (depending on routing) for your scheduled flight (included in the package) to Nairobi's Wilson Airport for
your onwards arrangements.

These prices have been calculated based on a package price per person sharing with a minimum of 2 persons and were
correct at the time of printing. Prices shown are in South African Rand (ZAR) as Byva Travel (Pty) Ltd is a South African

Please note that the client is solely responsible to ensure that all passports and visas are current, valid, obtained on time,
have sufficient blank pages, will be valid for six months after returning to your home country and comply with immigration
regulations. Please also note that any unabridged birth certificates, medical certificates, vaccinations, inoculations,
prophylactic (e.g. for malaria) and the like, where required, have been obtained beforehand.
The client is strongly advised to check the relevant requirements before travelling. Byva Travel will endeavour to assist
the client where possible but such assistance will be at Byva Travel discretion (since this service does not fall within the
scope of the services) and the client acknowledges that in doing so, Byva Travel is not assuming any obligation or
liability and the client indemnifies Byva Travel against any consequences of the clients failure to comply with any such
requirements. It is the clients duty to familiarize him/herself with the inherent dangers of and mental and/or physical
condition required for the proposed travel arrangements.
