A group of pre-teen girls played a hand game
called, Slap Dealioso (spelling?).It was lively, spirited and filled with laughter.
Moral
When two young girls ventured out into the
wooded area of a park, their counselor asked them to not wonder by themselves and had them sit down to consider alternative actions they could have taken.
Emotional
A counselor comforted a student who was not tall
enough to ride the zip line on the play ground
Cognitive
A student taught a tutor some Somali words which
increased both of their knowledge.
Creative
A child used three small sticks, some string and
some other random objects to tie together a fishing pole. His imagination to see a stick and found materials in a new way was endearing and inspiring.
Faith/ Belief
Some youth celebrated the Eid, which is a holiday
at the end of Ramadan, by gathering together to a small party
