Morning Car Rider Line

6:55 7:10 am. Students will remain in their vehicle

with parent supervision until 6:55 am.
Supervision provided by JCE staff: Please watch and listen for the supervising staffs directions.
Parents should not get out of their vehicles for any reason, and refrain from talking on cell phones
while in drop off line. Please do not have a conference/conversation with the supervising staff; if you
need to come inside for any reason, please park in an available parking space. Children should
remain in child restraint seats any time the vehicle is moving. Please remain in the same lane
throughout the car rider process.
Exiting vehicle: Students will exit their vehicle when greeted by JCE staff. Please ensure that your
child is prepared to exit by having your childs money, notes, book bag, etc. ready before you enter
the drop off area.
Exiting drop off area: Vehicles dropping off student should enter the circular driveway in the front of
the building. The large parking lot near the breezeway is reserved for bus traffic and cars that are
parking. For the safety of our students, please be patient and do not move your vehicle or permit
your child to exit until JCE staff has given you the ok. When moving your vehicle, please look ahead
and behind. Please be patient. Children are precious cargo and will be provided the safest
environment possible.
K 5th Students: Proceed directly to class with no stops, unless you are eating breakfast. Students
eating breakfast should eat breakfast before heading to class. Breakfast opens at 6:55. Students in
the cafeteria at 7:15 are considered tardy.

Afternoon Car Rider Procedures

Operates from 2:20 pm 2:35 pm: Car rider registration forms should be completed and returned as
soon as possible. Each family will be issued a car rider number as forms are returned. JCE will furnish
two car rider permits per family for use in various vehicles. If you need additional permits, please
request extras on the registration form.
Loading Area: Students should be picked up in circular driveway at the front of the building. The
parking lot near breezeway is for vehicles that need to park and for bus/day care traffic.
Supervision provided by JCE staff: Please clearly display the car rider number as you enter the car
rider line. Students will be dismissed to vehicles as the car rider number appears. Please ensure that
your child knows his/her number. If you or the person picking up your child does not have an official
JCE permit, you will be asked to park in the side parking lot and show identification.
Loading vehicle/Exiting car rider line: Students should know their car rider number and listen for
supervising JCE staff members to call their number as vehicles move into the loading zone. Once
vehicles are loaded, they will not be allowed to leave the line by driving around others. All loaded
vehicles will be dismissed in an orderly fashion. Please pull forward when directed to do so by the
staff and be attentive to when the line is stopping. Parents should remain in their vehicles at all
times.
JCE has established these car rider procedures for the safety of our students.
