INTRODUCTION

The

regular

OJT program

accommodates

qualified

students

who

are

recommended by school to undergo internship prior to graduation in order to be

adequately familiar with the actual office and industrial operations and management to
augment their formal training (www.pldt.com).
On the job Training are part of a college curriculum that aims to train and orient
students about the work and their future career. OJT is very important not only to teach
students their chosen career but to show students the reality about working. (Jonh, 2009).
Information technology professionals are responsible for designing, developing,
supporting and managing computer hardware, computer software, and information
networks, including the Internet. (careeroverview.com, 2016).
Identifying whether or not a training initiative is effective depends on how well
learners are able to apply what they learned to improve job performance. Furthermore,
without a significant and observable return on investment, training is seen as a waste of
time and valuable resources. However, whether or not a learner is able to successfully
transfer his or her knowledge to the workplace isnt wholly dependent upon the learner.
Instead there are many different types of influential factors that affect job training, and, in
fact, most of them do not depend on the learner. (McDonough, 2011).

Significance of the OJT

The program is to place the OJT trainees in occupation that will enhance their
perspective for long term employment and will gradually improve the trainee to become
self-sufficient. On the other hand, both student and company will gain from this training,
the trainee gains information about their field for free, or the company provides lesser
labor cost that a regular employee.
After their training period, the students may find themselves with new ideas for
future references.
Objectives
The main objective of the On the job training program is to developed students
skills and knowledge.
1. looking for a position in a leading business where canable to relate the

2. to grow competently by giving skills to organization and vice versa; and
3. to work in a challenging surroundings demanding all skills and efforts to
