PERSONAL STATEMENT
A precocious fifteen-year-old with a passion for science (as well as almost every other educational
discipline, as expressed by my vehement crusade to spend my study hall taking a seventh (and AP)
class) and an incessant need to discover every single answer, or just make something up and call it a
day. I have displayed remarkable ability to work diligently under pressure, as I successfully balance
rigorous studies, artistic and athletic commitments, and a strict hair-washing schedule (in order for my
curls to dry in the correct shape and texture). My mental processing speed is astoundingly fast, as I find
myself not only figuring out an answer before my classmates but also being able to compose a (in my
opinion) witty, slightly cynical, and laughter-provoking remark to complement it, although this does tend
not to garner the approval of my earnest classmates and/or teacher. In short, I am (perhaps over-)
confident, eager to learn, somewhat unnervingly driven, and incorrigibly sarcastic in the best way
possible.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Babysitter September 2014 present
Orenstein Residence
Newton MA
Responsibilities:

Care for and entertain three young boys, ages 4, 5, and 7, and a baby girl, age 15 months
Clean and tidy the house, especially the childrens rooms and playroom
Occasionally accompany the Orenstein family on birthday party excursions, which entails
running a birthday party that entertains around ten young boys
Speak in a loud, firm, authoritative voice in order to dole out time outs
Utilise mathematical and geometrical knowledge to find the perfect time out spot in the house
in which all three quarrelling boys cannot see each other, but are all visible to me

Arrange with consistency and diligence a myriad of silverware, flatware, and napkins across a
table
Count accurately the number of each utensil/plate/etc. required (although I have had difficulty
in this area and often have to return to the fork drawer to put back/add another fork)
Scrub forgotten plops of crusted leftovers off table with paper towel/sponge/nails (if necessary)

EDUCATION
If you are looking for your first job and do not have much or any work experience at this point do not
fret. Expand on your education responsibilities and apply them to real life scenarios so an employer has
an understanding of what you have achieved and the means used to get these achievements.
