Justification:
A webquest is a useful tool for making the students aware of the use of the English language in
a globalized context.
A webquest is really helpful for teachers to innovate and contextualize tasks in order to
improve
language
and
searching
skills
of
the
students.
Objectives:
By doing this webquest Ss will learn about other places and cultures,
increasing in this way their level of English, by learning new words, and
encouraging them to keep learning about other realities. Moreover, they
will be able to present their work to the class, practicing in this way their oral skills.
WEBQUEST
Introduction:
Imagine that you have the possibility to visit a place, your dream
place, which part of the world would you choose? A country, an
important place, a city
Task:
For this, you have to design the best route to travel through the place
chosen, providing good options in terms of accommodations and
facilities for 4 people. (ex: flights, transportation, hotels, restaurants,
etc.)
You will have to visit websites related to tourism in the place you
chose, in order to gather the necessary information,
By the end of this task, you have to present your work in a PPT or in a
Prezi, as an oral presentation.
Process:
Where? How many people? Which class? When do you want to go?
When do you want to return?
Decide about the stops, prices, Airlines, and timetable. Make sure that
the possibilities that they provide you fits with your trip requirements.
You can click and option that Google offers you, or the announces that
appears in terms of hotels or flights.
You have to know about tickets, times, flights, places, hotels, prices.
3) With all the info already gathered, put these in a PPT / Prezzi
presentation, following this order:
Then, talk about the resources ( and which websites are more useful
than others?)
By the end,each of ss have to say: what did you learn by doing this
task? what did you enjoy of this task? as a conclusion.
