teacherinColumbiaHeightsfortenweeks.Fromthebeginning,Minawasveryeagertolearnaboutthe
studentsandfamiliesshewouldbeworkingwith.ShewasexcitedaboutthediversityoftheColumbia
Heightsschooldistrictandtheuniqueneedsofthefamiliesweserve.Thereareover40languages
spokeninColumbiaHeightsanditisoneofthelowestincomecommunitiesinthemetroarea.
Minahadtheopportunitytoworkwithchildrenontheautismspectrum,childrenwithdevelopmental
delays,speechdelays,andbehavioralconcerns.Minamorethanembracedthechallengesand
difficultiesthesefamiliesfaceonadailybasis.Shesharedintheirdisappointmentsandjoysandoffered
helpandconfirmationwhenneeded.Minawasalwayspreparedforhervisitsandwasnotafraidtoask
forguidancewhenplanningandrunningvisits.Minawasveryawareofculturesensitivitiesamongst
familiesandalwayskeptthisinmindwhenplanningforvisits.
Minaspassionandherflexibilitywillmakeheranidealcandidateforanyeducationalsettingratherit
beinthehomeorinaclassroom.
