o Research Groups:
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers the following M.Tech
Programmes:
1. Power System Engineering
2. Power Electronics and drives
3. Embedded System Technologies
4. Renewable Energy Technology.
The above programmes provide an in-depth knowledge to the students in the respective
specialization and prepare them for a successful career in Research/Academics/Industry. The
equipment to be purchased through this project will provide the state -of-the- art facilities for the
P.G students to enhance their academic and research activities.
Research Profile /Plan of the Department
The department faculty members are actively involved in research. There are three active
research groups in the department, namely,
1. Power System
2. Power Electronics and
3. Intelligent Systems.
The research interest of the above groups is indicated in the figure below: In future, all
the research groups will be working in these areas with special emphasis on Renewable Energy
and Smart Grid Technology.
