The MONOMYTHS Association is a non-profit organization established in 2014 which aims to increase the
quality of Communication programs for youth people activating in nonprofit organizations,
entrepreneurs establishments, informal groups and other organized facilities. Our mission is to offer
customized trainings, seminars and workshops, based on non-formal educational methods, that will
prepare the youth, present and future communication employees to better integrate themselves in the
NGO, entrepreneurial or business working filed. We believe that by using non-formal teaching methods
in an intercultural youth group we can enhance participants knowledge, values, and skills for work with
culturally diverse groups in creating effective communication campaigns to better promote their NGO or
business.

What does Communication Tools for NGOs and Start-ups address?


Our training course focuses on teaching though
nonformal education the principles of communication,
branding, business canvas, social media and event
organising for the participants at the 7 days training
course.

The specific training objectives are the following:


To develop a 7 days training course addressed to 24 European participants with the theme
tailoring communication focused on new media, digital competences and strategic

communication and that is thought through a mixture of non-formal games and


technology use.
To create a communication platform that includes a network (where NGOs and start-ups can
do communication best practice exchange) and an online library (gathering educational
materials that you can access to be a better communicator)
To develop a media campaign meant to disseminate the results of the Monomythes project and
to promote the Erasmus+ actions and opportunities for development for the youth

Who can be a participant?


As participants we encourage you to recommend the
training course to communication specialists, startuppers or (social) entrepreneurs aged 18 30 and
want to increase your knowledge in communication
planning and execution.
The profile of the participant is formed form
youngstrs aged 18-30 that work in a not-for-profit
organisation and have experience in non-formal
education field, but also in developing projects for
youngsters. It is encouraged to have experience in
communication, PR, advertising, journalism, sociology, web design, psychology and branding. A high
relevant factor in being a participant is speaking English.
The participants shall include: 5 participants with fewer opportunities. 3 of them and the other 2 are
being a national minority.

The selection process


All applications shall be analyzed by our trainers that will follow:
Language skills, should comply to at least a medium level
Motivation and impact on future plans (letter of motivation)
Gender balance
Experience in the field of nonformal education, communication, work
with the youth and international trainings
An important factor is the cultural and religious background of the
participants, and we encourage a multicultural participative
environment to create a sharing space.

When and where does the training occur?
The Training Course will be held in Septembr 2016 be focused on
creating a learning programme containing practical actions to
take at home for a better entrepreneurial or NGO communication
strategy.

The costs
For each of the programme countries involved the reimbursement that we can cover 100% is 275 EURO
for Programme countries. When setting these limits we have also taken into consideration the expenses
related to the rental of the bus from Bucharest and back. These amounts will be reimbursed at the end
of the training course into the partner organisation bank account and after distributed to the participants
taking into consideration the invoices and boarding passes in original sent by the participants via post.
Another condition to reimburse the amount is that each participant will fill as they return home the
Mobility Tool survey.
The necessary documents for reimbursements will be:

NEXT STEPS
PREPARATION: you identify suitable participants (either from your own organisation or from your local
partners and networks), and you support them for their active participation in the training course,
including the execution of preparatory tasks assigned by the coordinator and trainers, and the
arrangement of travel, insurance and visa.

IMPLEMENTATION: you stay in touch with your participants and with the coordinator at all times and
make sure you and your participants make relevant contributions to the project and get benefits for your
organisation and your target groups. Also, we will need from each partner organisation, the bank
account. Our National Agency has a strict rule regarding the reimbursement process that can be done
ONLY via partner organisation account and distributed after to the participants.

The Project implementation

FOLLOW-UP: you make sure that the learning points and outcomes of the training course are transferred
back to your organisation (e.g. via a report by the participants), implementation of the learning points
and outcomes of the training course in the work of your organisation, and you make sure the learning
points and outcomes of the training course are further multiplied and disseminated (eg via local training
courses, dissemination of the reports via web 2.0, follow-up projects etc). Also, it is important that each
participant sent by your organisation fill the link of Mobility Tool.
Never the less each partner organization shall be involved in the communication and visibility of the
project

The partners shall publish at least an article/ press release about the Monomyths TC on their website
and social media (ALL)
Each partner will disseminate the results of the project along with the final impact report in a direct
email sent to their partners and local and national media representatives. (a database of at least 50
contracts/ partner)
They will be contributors of the network for better communication by: writing 8 articles (1 article /
country) and by sending invites to 5 NGOs to join the platform (total of 10x5) and by sharing there
relevant books, studies, articles in order to reach a total number of 20 sources. (ALL)
During the TC will gather data from all partner and create an impact report, a report including data

about the labour market in each partner country, the situation of communication specialists in
relation with unemployment and new media specialisations and statistics about the evolution
of non-profit and entrepreneurial sector. The data will be collected in an impact report that will be
published on the site of each partner and released in the media. This report along with the policy paper
will be the basis of a joint action, that will focus on the validations systems for nonformal education in
the countries of the project. We shall present the importance of learning of digital tools by using
nonformal education and the need for this type of education to be legalized.
