1. Insert Windows Server 2003 CD to the CD-Rom tray, boot it to enter setup.
2. Proceed and accept the Windows Licensing Agreement.
3. Format the desired partition or make a new one if required, use quick NTFS format to
format the desired partition.
4. Once format is finish the installation will start to copying files. The installation will
automatically reboot once done.
5. After rebooting, the installation process will enter in a GUI installation mode. The
installation will continue by installing devices.
6. For the first phase you are required to set up your “Regional and Language Options” by
clicking customizing, choose your location, standard of format, languages according to
your country or your preferences. Once done proceed to next.
7. Next input your name and organization in the box and proceed to “Licensing Mode”.
Select the licensing mode according to your type of server and business and continue.
8. Next give a computer name, make an administrator password and continue.
9. At Date and Time settings, choose your time zone and change the time accordingly and
proceed to another phase of installation.
10. For the second phase, you are required to select your Networking Settings. Choose
“Custom Settings”. In networking component make sure Client for Microsoft Networks,
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks and Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
component is selected.
11. At Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) properties, set an IP address as 192.168.0.1, subnet mask
255.255.255.0 and default gateway 192.168.0.1. For the subnet mask, according to your
ISP or Domain, input in 202.188.0.133 as DNS server, and 202.188.1.5 as alternate DNS
server. Once done, proceed.
12. For “Workgroup or Computer Domain”, name a workgroup or domain accordingly and
proceed and another installation phase will continue. Once installation finishes it will
automatically restart.
13. Once restart, you are required to login using the password you have set earlier.
14. On the welcome screen Windows Server 2003 R2 requires you to insert CD 2, insert the
CD and continue the installation, once done you are finish installing Windows Server
2003.
