Jafar Idris (born 15 June, 1931) from Sudan ;studied
in the University of Khartoum and obtained a Ph.D
on Philosophy and later completed a post-graduate Ph.D
degree in the University of London in 1970.Some of his
professional teaching and experience include: Consultant
for various Islamic Organizations around the
world;Chairman of the founding council of the American
Open University;Professor of Islamic Studies and Director of
the Research Center of The Institute of Islamic and Arabic
Sciences in America;.Professor of Islamic studies,
Departments of Aqeedah, Daw'ah and Information, Imam
Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Saudi
Arabia;Lecturer, Department of Philosophy, University of
Khartoum.
He is authored books including The Process of
Islamization , published by the Islamic Society of North
America, The Pillars of Faith, published by Muslim
Students Association and many articles including
Contemporary Physicists and Gods Existence.
Dr Jafar Idris lectures at many Universities, academic
institites and Islamic centres in many parts of the Islamic
and Western worlds on knowledge and faith.
This booklet was the presentation on topic Process
of Islamization" in M.S.A.'s 13th Annual Convention,on
the theme- The Islamization Process - Its Challenges
and Promises, held at the University of Toledo, Ohio at the
end of August 1975.
