Look at these beautiful scarves I have
brought. Can you see they are all dif-
ferent colours, red, blue, orange,
green. When I hold them all together
they look like a beautiful rainbow. We
can see rainbows in the sky after it has
been raining.
Sing Rainbow song to Jesus Loves me

Shiny yellow, purple too.
All the colours that you know
Show up in the rainbow.
Yes Jesus loves me…..
Rainbows are soo big and sooo pretty.
They start in one place and arch all the
way over to another place. In the Bible
we can read all about the very first
rainbow. God put a rainbow in the sky
as a sign to Noah that he would never
again send a flood that would cover
the whole world. When you see a rain-
bow, remember the promise that God
made to Noah long ago. There are lots
of things God promises us. When we
love him and trust him, he will make
sure that his promises will come true.

Show pictures of rainbow or paint a rainbow as you
talk about it….
Have you ever seen a rainbow? Did you ever wonder
what a rainbow was made of? It is made of light. In
fact, it is made of seven colours of light. It only occurs
when it rains. The colours of a rainbow are...red, or-
ange, yellow, green, blue, indigo (deep blue), and
violet (purple). They always stay in the same order. It
always forms an arch. A rainbow is very special be-
cause it reminds us of Gods promise.
Today we heard about a man called Noah and how
God kept his promise.
God rescued Noah, his family and all the animals on
the boat just as he had promised.
When the storm had stopped Noah looked up into
the sky and there in the clouds was a beautiful rain-
bow. It was a new beginning in God's world. The rain-
bow shows us that God always keeps his promises.
God promised he would never send a flood again.
There are lots of things that God promises us….he will
always love us, he will always be with us and he will
always forgive us. God promises us that he has a very
special plan for your life, he knew about it before you
were even born. When we love God and trust him he
will make sure that promise he has given you comes
true.

Bible who had to forgive his brothers. His Joseph became a prince and the day came when he
name was Joseph. Josephs brothers
weren't very nice to him were they.
Joseph became a prince and the day
came when he saw his brothers again
and even though his brothers had hurt
him and hated him, Joseph couldn't
stop loving them. He forgave them.
Just like Joseph forgave his brothers God hate and want him dead but God would use every-
wants us to forgive each other too.
How do you feel when your friends or family are mean
to you? You feel sad and sometimes angry don’t you?

forgive your friend or brother or sister just like Ruby did?
Today we heard about someone in the Bible who had
to forgive his brothers. Do you remember what his
name was…..that’s right Joseph. Josephs brothers
weren't very nice to him were they. (Show sad face)
saw his brothers again and even though his brothers
had hurt him and hated him, Joseph decided to for-
give his brothers because he knew that God had a big
plan for him. (Show happy face) It took a lot of love for
Joseph to forgive his brothers.
There was another prince who one day God would
send another prince who just like Joseph people would
thing that happened to this young prince (show sad
face)...even the bad things—to do something good
(show happy face)...to forgive the sins of the whole
world. Who do you think this prince is? That’s right its
Jesus…..and you can have a friendship with him and
he will always love you like Joseph loved his brothers
and he will forgive you when you say sorry for all the
things you have done wrong.

Oh dear...poor Humpty.
Did you know that when we make people sad
and hurt there is someone who can put us back
together again. His name is Jesus.
Jesus loves to fix us up when we are sad and hurt
just like Humpty Dumpty was.
Notes—Use the props to help tell this story.
Once there was a pencil.
The pencil could draw pictures.
The pencil could write words and numbers.
Sometimes the pencil made mistakes.
Sometimes the pencil became angry.
One day the pencil met a rubber.
The rubber helped the pencil.
The rubber rubbed out the pencils mistakes.
The rubber rubbed out the pencils angry marks.
The pencil learnt that the rubber was its best
friend.
Would you like a friend to rub out your mistakes
and angry marks?
God sent Jesus to be our best friend. We can ask
Jesus to help us in all we do. When we make mis-
takes or becomes angry Jesus will forgive us and
help us if we tell him we are sorry and really mean
it. It will be just as if Jesus had rubbed out the mis-
takes and angry marks we have made.

There is a story in the Bible of a girl
called Esther. Esther became a Queen
of a great nation.
A very bad man made a plan to hurt
Esther’s family.
When Esther found out about the plan
she told the king and all her family
were safe.
God used Esther to save everyone be-
cause she was brave.
Do you know that you can be brave
and strong just like Esther. When you
are, God can use you to do something
amazing!
King/Queen for a day….get a couple of volunteers up
to put crown on and then tell you what they would do
if they were king/queen for a day.
Today in our Bible story we heard about Esther who
was very brave and courageous. She was chosen to
be a Queen and God was able to use Esther to save
everyone because she was brave.
Do you remember why Melody was sad and what she
was worried about? That’s right she was worried about
going to preschool. Beci told her that its alright to be
worried about doing new things but she could be
brave and strong because God would always be with
her. Melody decided to be brave just like Esther.
Do you know that you can be brave and strong just like
Esther and Melody? When you are God can use you to
do something amazing!

Just like Esther and Melody God wants to use you too.
It says in the Bible that he has a very special plan for
your life. God can use every one of you as you choose
to be brave.

I have brought my bunny into visit you today.
Shhhhh....he is very scared so you have to be
very quiet.
If we make a big noise he might run away.
Would you like to see him. Remember to be
very quiet.
Sometimes like my bunny we can get scared
too....like when mummy and daddy leave us.
But we don’t need to be afraid because we
have Jesus with us all the time.
Say rhyme with children
Scared bunnies are so afraid inside,
When they feel very scared,
They hop away and hide!
But little boys and girls,
Don’t have to be scared inside,
They are very vey brave,
Because Jesus is on their side. Yay!
Ask the children to guess what animal you
have in your basket.
Show them the bunny.
Talk about how bunnies are shy and when
they are afraid they hop away.
Sometimes we can be like bunnies too. We
can be scared of loud noises or popping bal-
loons.....but guess what? When we know and
love Jesus, we don’t have to afraid of any-
thing! Jesus loves us and is with us– we are
not alone, so we don’t need to be afraid. We
never have to be afraid when we love Jesus.

When they feel very scared,
They hop away and hide!

to do something’. That’s right he forgot
to put his seatbelt on. Its very important
that we wear a seatbelt when we are
driving so that we are safe in case of an
accident. Rules show us how to live and
they keep us safe.
There is a story in the Bible about a man
named Moses. God gave him 10 special
rules. They were called the Ten Com-
mandments. When Moses and the peo-
ple followed these rules they honoured
God and showed him how much they
loved him. I want to honour God
too….don’t you? One way we can hon-
our God and show him how much we
love him is by obeying what he tells us in
the Bible.

Rules...rules...rules—they are everywhere! Wash your
hands before you eat, don’t talk with your mouth full,
wear your helmet when you are riding your bike.
Pretend you are going on a trip and get into your car
and start the car to go…...say ‘I think I have forgotten
to do something’….ask the kids to help you. That’s right
you forgot to put your seatbelt on. Its very important
that we wear a seatbelt when we are driving so that
we are safe in case of an accident. Rules show us how

Follow 3 to 5 year old teaching,

Play a game of Simon Says or Follow the Leader.
Do what I do and we will see what good followers you are.
Repeat the following action rhyme while you do the movements...
Touch your ear, then tickle your nose.
Turn around, then touch your toes.
Hop up and down, point to your face.
Nod your head, then sit in place.
When everyone is seated say “Wow what great followers you are.
You followed what I did by watching me with your eyes and listen-
ing with your ears. Jesus wants us to follow him too. Jesus wants us
to do and say the things he teaches us, and he wants us to act as
he did. There are so many ways to follow Jesus, lets say this rhyme
together.
We can follow Jesus with our ears (Touch ears) and listen to his
words.
We can follow Jesus with our eyes (point to eyes) to see what can’t
be heard.
We can follow jesus with our mouth (point to mouth) to say nice
words to others.
We can follow Jesus with our hands (wave hands) to help out one
another.
We can follow Jesus with our hearts (place hands on heart) and
love people of all kinds.
We can follow Jesus with all of us, (point to all of body) with our
hearts and souls and minds.
