PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT
AND KPIs CONFERENCE

DAY 1 - WORKSHOPS

Pre-Conference

OCTOBER 17TH

Workshop C
Building Strategy Dynamics Business Models

Kim Warren

CEO, Strategy Writer

Strategy Dynamics Ltd, UK

This workshop will show how to build such a model that allows the management team to
both understand the path that business performance is following, to fix problems that arise
(or, preferably, prevent them arising in the first place), and plan for the future.

Where are we trying to get to, and what is driving us there?

This session will show how the strategic management of a business or function
must focus on how performance is changing over time - we can rarely 'jump'
from a poor state to a good state in an instant.

Building and retaining the resources required

This session will explain the phenomenon of "resource accumulation" - the

winning and losing of customers, hiring and loss of staff, development of
products - and how to quantify the relationship between these factors.

Interdependence and the core business model

By leveraging on the elements from segments 1 and 2, we reach a working,

quantified model of the essential core for the business.

Extending the model

Improving the 'quality' of resources: better customers, more-skilled staff,

more appealing products;
The 'pipelines' through which resources, staff, customers and products develop;
The competition for customers and staff.

DAY 2 - STREAM A

Benefits to Attend
Challenges that arise following the
successful formulation of a strategy are
often overlooked by organisations;
Grasp the phenomenon of "resource
accumulation" - the winning and losing
of customers, hiring and loss of staff,
development of products;
Discover why performance has
followed its path to date, and where it
is likely to go if we continue current
policy;
