Proper Adjectives

A proper adjective is an adjective that comes from a proper noun. Remember that a
proper noun is the name of a specific person, place, or thing. For example, something that
comes from England can be described using the proper adjective English. Some proper
adjectives come from the name of a ruling leader. For example, the time that Queen Victoria
was on the throne is known as the Victorian Age. Read each sentence. Circle the proper
noun. Choose the proper adjective from the word box that matches the proper noun
in the sentence and write it on the line next to the sentence.
