Dear Sir or Madam,

I was very glad when I saw this particular opportunity to apply for UEHAS
Exchange Program in Interdisciplinary Consortium on Urban Environment and Health in
Asia, and I would like to express my strong motivation for this Short Course Program. I
am Fannisa Putri, a fresh graduate from Food Industrial Technology Departement,
Faculty of Agro-Industrial Technology, Padjadjaran Univeristy and now currently a
Master student in Department of Environmental Science, Postgraduate School,
Padjadjaran Univeristy.
In my opinion, food, health and environment are three things that can not be
separated. Because of good food will be produced from good environmental
management, and good food will have a positive effect on health. Thus, joining this
short course programe give me confidence that I am able to develop my knowledge,
which will give a benefit for the wider community and myself in particular.

I believe by being part of this program can add more valuable experience in my life and this
short course program will be very useful for me, not only the academic knowledge but also the
socializing experience with people from all over the world. I also believe that the state of the
environment is in the hands of people who have a hard desire to improve the conditions of this earth.
Moreover, I also have an educational backgrounds which are so related to the program which is
Environmental Science so, in my opinion is that my educational backgrounds have a big role for the
magnitude of environment & health. Besides having a new experience to visit Japan, I want to absorb
knowledge as much as would I get, and share that precious experience to everyone in my country
Indonesia, so that I can build my country into a better way.
After careful overview of the exchange program you are offering with, I believe
that program fully suits my intentions, and therefore I would like to get an opportunity
to attend this program. At the end, I would like to point out that I am determined to
make the most of this opportunity. I believe that being a participant in this program
would not only empower my career development, but would give me the framework to
utilize my full potentials. Moreover I feel that as a participant of short course
exchange program, I can get a benefit from the numerous challenging career
