CONDITIONAL OFFER OF A PLACE

Thank you for your application to the University of Greenwich. I am pleased to offer you a place on the
programme specified above. This conditional offer of place cannot be used to obtain a student visa.
The pre registration deposit is the first payment towards your tuition fees and reduces the tuition fees
payable on registration. It can be paid by a Bank Draft made payable to the University of Greenwich or
by direct transfer to the universities bank account. It is refundable only if your application for a student
visa is refused for the year the offer was made. Full details of tuition fees, the deposit requirement, how
to pay the deposit, university bank account details, available bursaries and scholarships and terms and
conditions can be found on our website at http://www.gre.ac.uk/students/finance/international-students

Once you have provided evidence that you have met any academic conditions of offer, accepted your
offer of place, the minimum pre-registration deposit has been received and you have advised us of your
passport number, the University will arrange with the UK Border Agency for a Confirmation of
Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number.

A further letter from us will then advise you of your CAS number and the relevant information (including
the qualifications used to assess your offer of a place) that you will require for your student visa
application. Please ensure that your name (as above) and passport number as provided are exactly the
same as they appear in your passport.

A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is an electronic reference number issued by the UK
Border Agency which is valid for six months from issue; you cannot apply for your student visa more than
three months prior to the start of your programme. Full details can be found on the UK Border Agency
website at http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/studyingintheuk/quickguideforstudent/adultstudents/.

All students who join the university in September are guaranteed accommodation, either in a University
Hall of Residence or in University-approved housing, provided the application for accommodation is
received by a designated date. Details of accommodation including the designated date can be found on
our website at http://www.gre.ac.uk/about/accommodation

When you arrive at the University to commence your studies, during online registration you will be given
a summary of the balance of your first year's tuition fees less the pre registration deposit and any
discounts. To complete your registration, you will need to pay at least 50 per cent of this amount. This
amount can be paid during online registration by entering credit/debit card details. Alternatively you can
transfer the payment to the University's Bank Account or pay directly to the Student Centre by bank draft.
The remaining balance of tuition fees for September starters will be due before the last Friday in January
and for January starters before the last Friday in May.

A 5 per cent discount is available on your tuition fees if you pay your year's tuition fees in full before the
end of September (for those registering on September programmes) or the end of January (for those
registering on January programmes). This discount is not available for our MPharm and pre-sessional
English language programmes.

You will receive by mail notification of your student reference number. Our international team will be
happy to answer any questions you may have. Please contact us at international@gre.ac.uk We look
forward to welcoming you to the University of Greenwich and wish you every success in your studies.

Yours sincerely,

Joanne Wall
International Recruitment Manager

I accept this offer on the programme detailed, on the understanding that I will have satisfied any
conditions specified, before commencing the programme and that I understand the terms and conditions
relating to the pre registration deposit.
