The Heart
of the
Costa del Sol

In this mini-guide I would like to tell you about the beautiful Torremolinos, this city has a
thousand and one things to enjoy a great vacation and in this article I hope to at least
scratch them.

Torremolinos Beaches
Sun and beach Tourism ... in torremolinos should be highlighted as one of its main tourist
attractions. The beaches are soft and varied some dedicated to family tourism as carihuela
or bajondillo others which will see and practice kite as sufring beach in playamar ... there is
even a part where nudists in the beach beach between Los Alamos and Guadalmar beach.
The municipality has almost 7 kilometers of coastline that is almost full of beautiful
beaches. The 7 km main promenade has recently undergone improvements with additional
landscaping and wider pavements so now its posible to walk from the start of the coast to
the end.
The main beaches from west(Malaga) to east are the following
Los Alamos beach with plenty of parking. The west limit of this beach is dedicated to nudist
and other part in the limit with the playamar beach which is used for kitesufting (its a very
interesting beach where you never get bored)

Playamar beach with plenty of parking and services, the fish in the chiringitos there is
great

Limit between Bajondillo Beach and Playamar Beach

Bajondillo beach very quiet and with high quality sands.
Carihuela Beach with some of the best bars on the Costa del Sol. La Carihuela has
approximately the same width and about 2 kilometers long. This beach is located in the old
fishing district of the same name, where fried fish restaurants abound. La Carihuela is my
favourite beach and offers pleasant sea views and some dramatic rock formations, plus the
old fishing village of La Carihuela which is a delightful area of picturesque simple houses
and bourganvillea clad patios where old men play dominoes and drink anis.

Carihuela Beach
Montemar Beach and Saltillo Beach, attached to benalmadena the marina port, perfect
for its restaurants. The seafront promenade, extends west behind the expansive and
popular beaches of Montemar and El Saltillo, now continuing as far as Benalmadena
Marina. This is the area also known for its excellent seafood restaurants and chiringuitos
(beach bars).

They are accessible urban beaches from the promenade with lotsof services such as
showers, bathrooms, closets, chiringitos ... in short, everything that you can need. The
sands are dark sand and the waves are moderate except in the alamos beach where there
are more wind which is great for the kitesuffers
