The Lewis County Hospital Foundations signature fundraising event, the Gala will be held on
Saturday, September 10th from 6:30 pm until 11:00 pm at Tug Hill Vineyards, Lowville. The
event is a celebration of our community hospital and our affiliation with St. Josephs Health.
Honorary Co-Hosts are Dr. and Mrs. Manoj Vora. Dr. Vora, an Internist, has worked at Lewis
County General Hospital since 1994. He is the Department Chief for Internal Medicine, the
local administrator for the hospitalist program and co-director of the hospital clinics. Mrs. Vora
is an RN and assists with her husbands medical practice and is the President of the Lowville
Lions Club.
We will also be recognizing Dr. Daniel Pisaniello for his outstanding medical service at Lewis
County General Hospital. In May 2016, Dr. Daniel Pisaniello retired from Lewis County
General Hospital after a 26 year career. Over his career, Dr. Pisaniello was President of the
Medical Staff for four years, Clinic Medical Director, Vice President for four years, Chairman of
Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Chairman of MDPI, ICU Committee, Quality Council, South Lewis
School District physician, Town Health Officer for Lyonsdale, Medical Director of the Lewis
County Community Recovery Center for over 20 years until it became Credo and Medical
Director of Lewis County ARC.
Proceeds from this years Gala will support the renovation of Lewis County General Hospitals
lobby. Hospital lobbies are used to greet patients and visitors, offer information and directions,
provide a meeting space for visitors, and/or serve as a waiting space before transferring patients

to another part of a facility. Guests impressions of what they are about to experience begin and
end with the lobby.
The Gala will include and a fantastic venue, hors doeuvres by The Farm House Kitchen, live
entertainment by the Moonshiners, a photo booth, silent and live auctions that include a Finger
Lakes Wine Tour for eight and overnight accommodations donated by hospital employees and
the Hospital Foundation Board, a week in the Bahamas (air fare not included) donated by Mike
and Sue Maring, a handcrafted Adirondack Chair donated by Ed Knapp of Watson
Woodworking, a man and womans leather Harley Davidson vest donated by Nancy and Travis
Kovach, a Weekend on the St. Lawrence River donated by Matt and Mary Dohney, a childs
rocking horse handmade by Dr. Dan Root, a 10 ft. kayak, paddle and vest donated by the LCGH
Admin Team, a bouquet a month for a year donated by Lisks Florals and many other unique
items.
Reservations for the Gala are $60.00 each and cocktail attire is requested. To make a reservation
