Ubuntu
Scale out with Ubuntu Server
Ubuntu Server brings economic and technical scalability to your datacentre, public or
private. Whether you want to deploy an OpenStack cloud, a Hadoop cluster or a 50,000node render farm, Ubuntu Server delivers the best value scale-out performance available.
Characteristics

Supported for five years by Canonical

Runs on all major architectures - x86, x86-64, ARM v7, ARM64, POWER8 and
IBM s390x (LinuxONE)
ZFS stable, feature-rich file system with snapshot capabilities
LXD Linux container hypervisor enhancements including QoS and resource
controls (CPU, memory, block I/O, storage quota)
Install Ubuntu Core Snaps
First production release of DPDK - line speed kernel networking
Linux 4.4 kernel and systemd service manager
Certification as a guest on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Joyent, IBM and HP Cloud
Updates to Tomcat (v8), Postgresql (v9.5), Docker v(1.10), Puppet (v3.8.5), Qemu
(v2.5), Libvirt (v1.3.1), LXC (v2.0), and MySQL (v5.6)

In addition to x86 and ARM servers, Ubuntu is supported on the Power architecture. For
the enterprise datacentre, this means you can now build your infrastructure on any hardware
you choose.
Performance and versatility
Agile, secure, deploy-anywhere technology for fast-moving companies
It doesnt matter whether you want to deploy a NoSQL database, web farm or cloud.
Ubuntu has the performance and versatility you need. Certified by leading hardware OEMs
and with comprehensive deployment tools, so you can get the most from your
infrastructure.
Our regular release cycle means that we support most of the latest applications. A lean
initial installation and integrated deployment and application modeling technologies make
Ubuntu Server a great solution for simple deployment and management at scale.
Requirements to install Ubuntu Server

The requirements for a Linux server version are

minimal because it does not use the graphical
environment, but to act as a server depending on the traffic that we may require more.
Minimum (Console)

256 MB of memory
2 GB of HDD space (Including swap)
AMD or Intel Processor 6432bits
AMD Opteron and Intel EM64T Xeon Included, for versions 64.

Minimum (Graphic)

512 MB of memory
4 GB of HDD space (Including swap)
AMD or Intel Processor 6432bits
VGA graphics card, monitor with 800x600 resolution

Windows NT
Microsoft Windows NT Server is an operating system designed for use in servers, local
area network (LAN). It delivers the power, manageability and scalability of Windows NT
on a server platform and includes features such as centralized management of security and
tolerance more advanced failures, which make it an ideal operating system for network
servers.
Windows NT Server is both an operating system for computers (PCs) and personal network
operating system. Since it incorporates networking capabilities, networks of Windows NT
Server are integrated optimally with the basic operating system, facilitating the use and
administration functions.
This chapter provides a brief overview of the functions of Windows NT Server and explains
their performance relative to other network software products manufactured by Microsoft.
It also describes the purpose of this manual and the most effective way to use it.
Introduction to Windows NT Server
Overview of Windows NT Server
Windows NT Server is a server operating system, scalable and platform independent. It can
run on Intel-based x86, RISC processors and DEC Alpha systems, giving users more
freedom when choosing their computer systems. It is expandable to symmetric
multiprocessing systems, allowing incorporate additional processors when you want to
increase performance.

Internally it has a 32-bit architecture. His model

32-bit linear memory eliminates memory segments
64K and 640K barrier MS-DOS. It has multiple threads (threads) execution, which allows
for more powerful applications. Memory protection ensures stability by allocating separate
memory areas for the operating system and applications, in order to prevent data
corruption. The ability to multitask priority allocation allows the operating system to
allocate processing time to each application effectively. Windows NT Server includes also
various network functions,

Fedora Workstation
Fedora Workstation is a reliable, user-friendly, and powerful operating system for your
laptop or desktop computer. It supports a wide range of developers, from hobbyists and
students to professionals in corporate environments.
The plethora of tools provided by Fedora allows me to get the job done. It just works.
Christine Flood, JVM performance engineer
Sleek user interface
Focus on your code in the GNOME 3 desktop environment. GNOME is built with
developer feedback and minimizes distractions, so you can concentrate on what's important.
Complete open source toolbox
Skip the drag of trying to find or build the tools you need. With Fedora's complete set of
open source languages, tools, and utilities, everything is a click or command line away.
There's even project hosting and repositories like COPR to make your code and builds
available quickly to the community.
GNOME Boxes & other virt tools
Get virtual machines up and running quickly to test your code on multiple platforms using
GNOME Boxes. Or dig into powerful, scriptable virtualization tools for even more control.
Built-in Docker support
Containerize your own apps, or deploy containerized apps out of the box on Fedora, using
the latest technology like Docker.
System Requirements
This chapter provides a list of system requirements needed to make a successful
virtualization on Fedora. Virtualization is possible in Fedora.
The virtual machine hypervisor based on Kernel is offered with Fedora.
For information on installing the virtualization packages, read Chapter 4, Installing the
virtualization packages.
Minimum System Requirements

6GB of free disk space

2GB of RAM

Recommended system requirements

More 6GB disk space required by the host

operating system. For most operating
systems are recommended over 6GB of free space.
A processor core or hyper-thread for each virtualized CPU and one for the
hypervisor.
2GB of RAM, and additional RAM for virtualized guests.

WINDOWS XP
It is a version of Microsoft Windows line of operating systems developed by Microsoft.
Launched on October 25, 2001, as of November 2011, had a market share of 32.8% .4 The
letters "XP" comes from the word experience (eXPerience English).
It has versions for multiple computing environments, including PC for home or business, in
addition to laptops, "netbooks", "tablet PC" and "media centers". Successor Windows 2000
with Windows ME, and Windows Vista predecessor, is the first operating system Microsoft
consumer-oriented that is built with a core and architecture of Windows NT available in
versions for platforms 32 and 64 bits.
Characteristics:
Windows XP introduced new features:

More pleasant than their predecessors graphical environment.

Faster startup and hibernate sequences.
Capacity operating system disconnect an external device, install new applications
and drivers without rebooting.
A new interface easier to use, including tools for developing desktop themes.
Using multiple accounts, allowing a user to save the current state and open
applications on your desktop and allow another user to open a session without
losing that information.
ClearType, designed to improve text readability on in liquid crystal displays (LCD)
and similar monitors.
Remote Desktop, which allows users to open a session with a computer running
Windows XP through a network or the Internet, accessing your applications, files,
printers, and devices.
Support for most DSL modems and wireless, as well as the establishment of a
FireWire network.
