Manufacturers show optimism about export orders in 2016

More than 80% of the surveyed enterprises said in the first quarter of 2016 their
business would be stable or even better than that in 2015, according to the
report released by the General Statistics Office under the Ministry of Planning
and Investment. Nearly 92% of the enterprises looked for higher production
volume in 2016 as compared with 2015, while 66.7% expected more stable
production costs this year. GSO said the firms optimistic showed that Vietnams
business climate had improved significantly.

Foreign capital flows into safe food businesses

The Techna Group (France), which specializes in manufacturing and supplying
various kinds of nutrients for plants and animals, considers Vietnam a strategic
market for business expansion in ASEAN. The group has established Techna
Nutrition Vietnam in 2012 and planned to build a factory here in 2018. Currently,
all of Techna products in Vietnam are imported directly from France.

Japfa Vietnam builds animal feed factory in Binh Dinh

Central Binh Dinh provincial Peoples Committee has agreed to let Japfa
Comfeed Vietnam build an animal and poultry feed plant with an investment of
VND135 billion in the province. The plant will be built on an area of
69,000sq.m at Nhon Hoa Industrial Zone in An Nhon town with a monthly
capacity of 15,000 tons. It is expected to be put into operation in the third
quarter of next year.
