Court of the Priests

Numbers 4:1-20 From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number
them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle
of the congregation.

Ezekiel 44:16-31 They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen
breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that
causeth sweat. And when they go forth into the utter court, even into the utter
court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered,
and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and
they shall not sanctify the people with their garments. Neither shall they shave
their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads.

Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter into the inner court.
Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away: but
they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had a
priest before. And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy
and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it
according to my judgments: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all
mine assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths. And they shall come at no
dead person to defile themselves: but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for
daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may defile
themselves.

Numbers 10 Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make
them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the
journeying of the camps. And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly
shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation.

Exodus 40 On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of
the tent of the congregation… And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them
with coats: And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that
they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely
be an everlasting priesthood throughout their

Exodus 31 And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest,
and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office, And the anointing
oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have

Leviticus 1:1-5 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and
it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. And he shall kill
the bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the
blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the
door of the tabernacle of the congregation. Exodus 29:1-12

Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the
Levites shall be mine. And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of
the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer
them for an offering.

Exodus 28:4-5,40-43 And for Aaron's sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for
them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.
And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and
shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may
minister unto me in the priest's office. Exodus 39:27-29

And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the
loins even unto the thighs they shall reach: And they shall be upon Aaron, and
upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or
when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear
not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after
him.

Exodus 27:9-13,17-21 And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee
pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. In the
tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony,
Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the Lord: it
shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of
Israel. Exodus 38

Leviticus 10 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his
sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest
wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of
Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord hath kindled.

Leviticus 10 And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you. And they
did according to the word of Moses. And the Lord spake unto Aaron, saying, Do
not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into
the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever
throughout your generations:

Numbers 28 And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin for the
one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto
the Lord for a drink offering. 2 Kings 16:13, Genesis 35:14

Exodus 30:1-10 And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon
it, a perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations. Ye shall
offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering;
neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.

Leviticus 17 To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which
they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the Lord, unto
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them
for peace offerings unto the Lord. And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon
the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn
the fat for a sweet savour unto the Lord. Leviticus 19:21-22

Leviticus 6:24-30 Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin
offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be
killed before the Lord: it is most holy… The priest that offereth it for sin shall
eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the
congregation.

Ezekiel 45 The holy portion of the land shall be for the priests the ministers of the
sanctuary, which shall come near to minister unto the Lord: and it shall be a
place for their houses, and an holy place for the sanctuary.

And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the
posts of the house, and upon the four corners of the settle of the altar, and
upon the posts of the gate of the inner court.

2 Chronicles 4:1-10 Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and
doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass.

Exodus 40:30-38 And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar,
and put water there, to wash withal. And Moses and Aaron and his sons
washed their hands and their feet thereat: When they went into the tent of
the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the

Ezekiel 42 Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers,
which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests
that approach unto the Lord shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay
the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the
trespass offering; for the place is holy.

Nehemiah 7:1-5 And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until
the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them:
and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch,
and every one to be over against his house.

Ezekiel 44 Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary
which looketh toward the east; and it was shut… It is for the prince; the prince,
he shall sit in it to eat bread before the Lord; he shall enter by the way of the
porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.

And when they go forth into the utter court, even into the utter court to the
people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them
in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not
sanctify the people with their garments.

And in the day that he goeth into the sanctuary, unto the inner court, to
minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, saith the Lord God.

And the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every
sort of your oblations, shall be the priest's: ye shall also give unto the priest the
first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.

Numbers 3:38 But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even
before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses, and
Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the
children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

Numbers 7 And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the
tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the instruments
thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and
sanctified them; That the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers,
who were the princes of the tribes, and were over them that were numbered,
offered:

And they brought their offering before the Lord, six covered wagons, and twelve
oxen; a wagon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they brought
them before the tabernacle.

Nehemiah 12:37-47 And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by
the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of
David, even unto the water gate eastward.

Ezekiel 11 Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of
the Lord's house, which looketh eastward: and behold at the door of the gate
five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and
Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

Ezekiel 46 Thus saith the Lord God; The gate of the inner court that looketh
toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be
opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

After he brought me through the entry, which was at the side of the gate, into
the holy chambers of the priests, which looked toward the north: and, behold,
there was a place on the two sides westward.

Then said he unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass
offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the meat offering; that they
bear them not out into the utter court, to sanctify the people. Then he brought
me forth into the utter court, and caused me to pass by the four corners of the
court; and, behold, in every corner of the court there was a court.

Exodus 40:44-46 And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the
south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house. And the
chamber whose prospect is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of
the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi,
which come near to the Lord to minister unto him.

Leviticus 6:8-17 And the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat: with
unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the
tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it. It shall not be baken with
leaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my offerings made by fire;
it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the trespass offering.

Ezekiel 42 And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south
was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward
the east, as one entereth into them.

Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are
before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that
approach unto the Lord shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the
most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass
offering; for the place is holy.

Ezekiel 42 When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy
place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they
minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach
to those things which are for the people.

Ezekiel 48 Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession
of the city, being in the midst of that which is the prince's, between the border
of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince.

Ezekiel 47 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me
about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward;
and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

Isaiah 62 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they
that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness. Go
through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast
up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

Ezekiel 43 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the
east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with
his glory.
