1) Re: "the original Freedom of Information Act request (FOIA) that was granted a while back" to which Lt.
Green referred, please provide me with copies of that FOIA request, all records that were provided in
response to that request, and all correspondence associated with the processing of that request.
2) Please provide me with copies of all correspondence between Lt. Green and Mr. Parry from the time period
January 1, 2016 to the present.
If possible, please provide the records in digital format via e-mail. If your office wishes to correspond with
me, please feel free to do so via e-mail.
I'm requesting these records for an article I'm reporting on my blog and I have no financial interest in the
requested information, therefore this is to request that I be categorized as a member of the news media. For
the same reasons, this is also to request that any fees be waived.
If the fee for completing my request exceeds $5, please obtain my written approval prior to completing this
request.
If my request is denied in whole or part, I ask that you justify any and all all deletions and redactions by

In reference to your request to review Schaumburg Police Department denial of Mr. Heimlich' s request
for correspondence between Lt. Green and Mr. Parry. Please note we have included a copy of this email
exchange.
In reference to the email exchange we have elected to use the exemption found in 5 ILCS 140/ 7 ( 1)
c) and 5ILCS 405/ 1- 7( a), and denied the request for the correspondence ( email exchange)
between Lt. Green and Mr. Parry, in that this information would constitute a clearly unwarranted
invasion of privacy. In addition, Juvenile Court Act mandates that reports in which a minor was
arrested, charged or investigated must be withheld in full. As well as, under the Juvenile Court Act,
a public body is required to withhold information identifying an alleged minor victim of a sex
crime.
The Village of Schaumburg has been notified that an Order of Protection 15 OP 651 case was filed
in Kane County entitledillv Peter Heimlich. The subject of the
information requested by Mr. Heimlich was Mr. Parry who represented himself as a reporter
investigating

issued October 22, 2010, at 2) and 2010 PAC 9077 ( Ill. Att' y Gen, PAC Req. Rev. Ltr. 9077, issued
February 9, 2011, at 2).

Per the e- mail trail below my signature, on June 18, 2016, I filed a
FOIA request with the Schaumburg, IL Police Department which
designated my request W014526- 061816. In response to my
inquiries re: the status of my FOIA request, I received a July 28,
2016 e- mail from the department' s Records Supervisor Jen Brack
who stated:

Please be advised that this office has conducted a search, and we have located a
June 23, 2016, e- mail with an attachment from Jennifer Brack, Records Supervisor, Schaumburg
Police Department, to Assistant Attomey.General Benjamin Reed, Public Access Bureau, related
to your June 18, 2016, FOIA request to the Schaumburg Police Department. We have located no
other records responsive to your request. To date, Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Reed
has not responded to Ms. Brack' s e- mail.

We recently received a FOIA request from Mr. Heimlich in response to the PAC' s response and the letter I provided to
the PAC outlining our decisions. Mr. Heimlich' s FOIA request is based off of this letter. I have attached a copy of the FOIA
request for your review. Can you please provide guidance as to whether is this a true FOIA request. Please note there
was a conversation between two attorneys, so I do not have any documents to provide to Mr. Heimlich.
