Today, the Youth Assembly
Council has come up with a set of resolutions
to overcome the problem of overpopulation,
and so to develop the world's economy and
quality of life for people.
The population of the world is increasing day
by day, the statistics have shown that the
population has increased by thirty percent for
the last twenty years. The economists and
sociologists omen further expansion of the
society if we remain spectators in the
situation.
The cause of overpopulation can be diversified into many categories: decline in
death rate, improvement in medical technology, immigration, lack of family
planning and poor family needs as much hands to work and support the family.
The matters about increasing population should be highlighted as it stops world's
economy to grow, increased population means increase in pollution, unemployment
rate rises and more conflicts and wars may arise with more people.
The governments of the countries have to rise up to achieve improvements in
population. Education will be the first step. People needs to be awared of the
consequences of overpopulation, the hazard of it, importance of the contraceptives
and enhance the distribution of it. Government of various countries might have to
come with various policies related to tax exemptions to curb overpopulation. One of
them might be to waive off certain part of income tax or lowering rates of income
tax for those married couples who have single or two children.
The dilemma of enlargement of population has to be looked deeply as A crowded
society is a restrictive society; an overcrowded society becomes an authoritarian,
repressive and murderous society., as mentioned from the Economist.
