voting power is given to the citizens who are twenty-one and above. However, the Youth Assembly Council is claiming that the voting rights should be also given to the youth, from the age of eighteen to twenty-five, and even to the lower age group of fifteen. 'It's the younger generation who will face the consequences of the voting', Aida, one of the member of Youth Assembly said. 'Young people should be given rights to choose their own leaders.' If youth are given power to change the world by their choice, there will be less complains and can look forward for more contributions from them to develop the country. In addition, the council members suggested that the schools should officially teach students on the subjects based on the social and politics, to make them aware of how the country should be runned. In order not to be biased, they added on that the lessons conducted should not imply any negative impressions on the politicians or particular countries. Lowering the voting age will increase voter turnout as the habit and interest that has formed in earlier life will continue thoughout the life. And also, not only the turnout of the young generation increase but the participation of the adults, their parents will also rise, and therefore more participation could be seen. Lowering the voting age also provide intrinsic benefits to the youth. It will effect their character, intelligence and responsibility There are no wrong votes.
