Assembly
1 Apply a liberal amount of cork

grease to the neck cork and rub it

in with your fingers.

2 Put your mouthpiece on the neck

by twisting gently. Leave approximately

1/4 of the cork exposed.

3 Insert neck base into the body

section then tighten the neck

screw.

4 Moisten your reed in water or in your

mouth. Secure the moistened reed

to the mouthpiece with the ligature
by gently sliding it on from the top.
Align the reed tip with the end of
the mouthpiece. Tighten the ligature
screws to hold in place but avoid
over- tightening them.

5 Wear the Antigua saxophone strap

around your neck and hook the

strap onto the strap ring on the
back of the instrument. Adjust the
strap length so you can reach your
mouthpiece comfortably.

Disassembly
1 Unhook saxophone from the neck strap.
2 Loosen the neck screw and remove the neck from the

body section.
3 Separate the mouthpiece from the neck by twisting

gently.
4 Loosen the ligature screw and remove the reed. Place the

reed in a safe place to allow it dry.

5 Put the mouthpiece cap back on your mouthpiece for

protection.
6 Remember to put the end plug (black plastic plug) back

on the top of the body section. This will help protect the
octave key when the instrument is in the case.

Maintenance
1 Each time you finish playing your

horn, place the cleaning swab into

the bell of the saxophone and take
it out from the top to remove the
moisture from your instrument.
Remember to keep the cleaning
swab clean and dry.

2 Use a clean, soft cloth to wipe

off any fingerprints and other

smudges from the surface of your
instrument.

Caution
1 To avoid damaging the key mechanisms, do not exert

excessive pressure on them during assembly and

disassembly.
2 Always place your saxophone in a safe place such as

your instrument case or a suitable instrument stand. Do

not place the instrument somewhere unstable which
may cause the instrument to fall or drop easily.
3 Never attempt to clean your pads.
4 Always use a soft cloth for cleaning your sax. Do not

apply polishing liquids to the instruments surface. Use

of these polishes may harm the keys and the pads.
5 Do not allow the instrument to be exposed to extreme

temperatures or humidity.
6 Never attempt to repair the saxophone yourself. For

adjustments or repair, take your instrument to your

Dealer or a qualified technician.

Montage
1 Fetten Sie den Kork des S-Bogens

mit Korkfett.

2 Verbinden Sie durch vorsichtiges

Drehen das Mundstck mit dem

S-Bogen. Lassen Sie ca. 1/4 des
Korks sichtbar.
3 Stecken Sie den Unterteil vom

S-Bogen auf das Korpus, ziehen

Sie dann die S-Bogenschraube
handfest an.
4 Befeuchten Sie Ihr neues Blatt

mehrere Minuten lang mit Wasser

oder in Ihrem Mund. Befestigen
Sie das angefeuchtete Blatt auf der
Oberseite des Mundstcks und
sichern Sie es mit der Blattschraube.
Achten Sie darauf, dass Mundstck
und Blatt bndig abschlieen. Ziehen
Sie die Blattschraube handfest an.

5 Legen Sie den Antigua Saxofongurt

um den Hals und haken Sie den

Gurt in den Gurtring auf der
Rckseite des Instrumentes ein.
Stellen Sie die Gurtlnge so ein,
dass das Mundstck nicht auf
der Unterlippe aufliegt und bei
normaler Kopfhaltung nicht ber
den Mund zeigt.
6 Legen Sie Ihren linken Daumen an

die Daumenauflage und den rechten

Daumen unter den Daumenhalter.
Sie knnen jetzt das Instrument
einstellen und gleich spielen.

Demontage
1 Entfernen Sie zuerst den Saxofongurt vom Instrument.
2 Lsen Sie die S-Bogenschraube und entfernen Sie den

S-Bogen vom Korpus.

3 Trennen Sie das Mundstck vom S-Bogen durch

vorsichtiges Drehen.
4 Lsen Sie die Blattschraube und entfernen Sie das Blatt.

Bitte lagern Sie das Blatt sicher und trocken.

5 Denken Sie daran, den Herzschoner (schwarzer

Kunststoffstecker) zurck auf den Korpus zu stecken.

Er dient zum Schutz der Oktavmechanik, wenn das
Instrument im Etui verstaut ist.

Wartung
1 Ziehen Sie den Durchziehwischer

mehrmals durch Becher und

Korpus (Wichtig: Fhren Sie den
Durchziehwischer durch den
Becher ein.). Wiederholen Sie den
Vorgang auch mit dem S-Bogen.
Achten Sie darauf, Korpus und
S-Bogen grndlich zu reinigen
und zu trocknen. Halten Sie den
Durchziehwischer immer sauber
und trocknen Sie ihn nach jedem
Gebrauch.

2 Verwenden Sie ein Poliertuch, um

Schmutz und Fingerabdrcke

von der Oberflche Ihres
Instrumentes vorsichtig zu
entfernen.
3 Mit Hilfe eines Reinigungspapieres

knnen Sie die Feuchtigkeit

zwischen Klappe und Tonloch
leicht entfernen. Legen Sie dazu
das Reinigungspapier zwischen
Klappe und Tonloch. ffnen
und Schlieen Sie die Klappe
solange, bis keine Feuchtigkeit
mehr auf dem Reinigungspapier
zurckbleibt. Entfernen Sie
schlielich das Reinigungspapier.

4 Entfernen Sie Feuchtigkeit und Ablagerungen regelmig

von Ihrem Mundstck. Reinigen Sie dazu nach dem

Spielen das Mundstck mit der Brste und splen Sie es
mit warmen Wasser.

Vorsicht
1 Um eine Beschdigung der Klappenmechanik zu

vermeiden, ben Sie keinen bermigen Druck auf die

Klappen whrend der Montage und Demontage aus.
2 Verstauen Sie das Saxofon an einem sicheren Ort, am

besten in einer Instrumententasche oder auf einem

Instrumentenstnder. Legen Sie das Instrument nur auf
geraden, stabilen Flchen ab, um ein Herunterfallen zu
vermeiden.
3 Verwenden Sie bei der Reinigung der Polster keine

rauen Materialien, um die Lebensdauer der Polster zu

verlngern.
4 Verwenden Sie keine Polituren fr die Pflege Ihres

Instrumentes, um Schden an der Oberflche zu

vermeiden.
5 Setzen Sie das Instrument keinen extremen

Temperaturen oder hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit aus.

6 Lassen Sie Ihr Saxofon nur von erfahrenen und

qualifizierten Instrumentenbauern und Fachhndlern

einstellen oder reparieren.

Montaje
1 Aplique una cantidad abundante

de aceite de corcho en el corcho

del bocal.

2 Conecte la boquilla y el bocal

girando suavemente. Deje

aproximadamente 1/4 del corcho
expuesto.

3 Inserte la base del bocal en

la seccin del cuerpo y a

continuacin apriete el tornillo del
bocal.
4 Humedezca primero la nueva caa por

varios minutos en agua o en la boca.

Fije la caa humedecida a la boquilla
por debajo de la ligadura de la parte
superior. Coloque la punta de la caa
alineada al extremo de la boquilla.
Apriete los tornillos de la ligadura y
evite apretar demasiado los tornillos
de la misma.

5 Colquese la correa del saxofn

Antigua alrededor de su cuello y

enganche la correa en el aro de
la correa de la parte trasera del
instrumento. Ajuste la longitud de
la correa de modo que la boquilla
se ajuste a la boca cmodamente.

6 Coloque su pulgar izquierdo en

el apoyadedo y coloque su pulgar

derecho debajo del gancho de pulgar.
Despus de acondicionar y afinar
el instrumento, podr entonces
disfrutar de su instrumento!

Desmontaje
1 Retire primero la correa del saxofn.
2 Afloje el tornillo del bocal despus de tocar y retire el

bocal de la seccin del cuerpo.

3 Separe la boquilla del bocal girando suavemente. Coloque

la tapa de la boquilla nuevamente para su proteccin.

4 Suelte el tornillo de la ligadura y retire la caa. No olvide

colocar la caa en un lugar seguro para mantenerla seca.

5 Recuerde volver a poner el tapn del extremo (tapn

de plstico negro) en la parte superior de la seccin del

cuerpo que se utiliza para proteger el eje de la octava
cuando el instrumento permanece en la caja.

Mantenimiento
1 Introduzca el limpiador a travs

del cuerpo del saxofn y retrelo

por la campana para eliminar la
humedad del instrumento. Aplique
el mismo mtodo para limpiar
el bocal del saxofn. Recuerde
mantener siempre el limpiador
en buen estado de limpieza y sin
humedad.

2 Utilice un pao de brillar para

limpiar las huellas dactilares y

otras manchas de la superficie del
instrumento.

3 Para eliminar la humedad entre la

llave y el agujero de tono, abra la

llave y coloque un papel de limpieza
en medio, luego cierre la llave;
abra la llave nuevamente y retire el
papel de limpieza. Si la almohadilla
est todava hmeda, por favor
repita el mtodo anterior segn sea
necesario.

4 Mantenga la boquilla en buen estado eliminando la

humedad y las capas de partculas. Despus de tocar,

limpie la boquilla con el cepillo de la boquilla y lvela con
agua tibia.

Precaucin
1 Para evitar daar el mecanismo de la llave, no aplique

presin excesiva sobre las llaves durante el montaje y el

desmontaje.
2 Coloque el saxofn en un lugar seguro, por ejemplo

en la funda del instrumento o en un soporte apropiado

para instrumentos. No coloque el instrumento en un
lugar inestable que pueda provocar que el instrumento
se caiga o se golpee.
3 Para aumentar la vida til de la almohadilla, no cepille la

superficie de la almohadilla con materiales abrasivos.

4 No aplique lquidos de pulido en la superficie del

instrumento. El uso de estos lustradores puede daar el

acabado y causar que las almohadillas se peguen. Utilice
solamente un pao suave para limpiar.
5 No exponga el instrumento bajo condiciones extremas

de temperatura o humedad.
6 Para su ajuste o reparacin, lleve el instrumento a un

tcnico o distribuidor autorizado. No intente ajustar el

saxofn por usted mismo.
